Remove trade and let the healing begin.

I agree that the game without trade would be AMAZING.

But I disagree with all your reasons of bots, scams, whatever.
Go play SSF and stfu and leave the rest of us who LIKE trading alone.

You didn't read his post, and we all know the devs will never remove trading. Go back to your maps you fucking goblin.
Trading is the only reason to even play this game, tho ofcourse it doesn't apply to path of asset flip 2, since they gave away advanced copies, so people had inside info on what builds to play.
They also knew which uniques drop where, so affording those for casual became impossible 1 week into the game.
Compare this to poe1 where you can actually farm, trade and progress.

I would quit the second they removed trade. Not sorry. They designed the game around trade. Full stop. If you want a game not designed around trade, they are out there. This is equivalent imo to asking GGG to turn PoE into a farming simulator.

That's fair.. lots of people like to trade. The game could be suited for both play styles, it doesn't have to be black and white. Simple changes to the SSF environment would keep a healthy player base. Instead many will drop off for reasons opposite to yours.

It often feels like this community would be happier if nothing ever changed, and they existed in their little bubble, with the tiny player base that got the ball rolling.

If you want things to be stagnant then don't expect POE3, or any meaningful content beyond what already exists. And if you're happy with that, why even play POE2 at all?

Maybe it's possible but it's not quite so simple in the end. If you make a casual version where you can get a Temporalis drop after 20 or 40 hours of game play, it devalues that item in general. It's not as unique or rare or cool. People aren't tuning into streams to see crazy builds because everyone gets one, and when they aren't drilling over that crazy new thing they're less inclined to log back in. Then you can make a situation where you're making the wrong decision by playing trade. That's a more extreme example for sure but illustrates an important point. They've talked before about chase items and experiences. The majority of the player base is never going to fight an end game boss or get an Ingenuity, but that's an intentional design decision they believe is good for the game. Both trade existing, and mostly unobtainable chase items/builds/bosses are intentional design pillars of the game.

So by all means give your feedback, I don't mind. I'm just pointing out that this feedback boils down to wanting a fundamentally different game than the developers stated goals. So don't hold your breath is all.

Authors of these posts should be banned at this point, it's too much.. Just play SSF.

I am the author, and I think you missed my point... which begs the question, did you read my post at all or simply react out of anger at the title of my post? And in that case, why bother to leave a comment?

There is a problem with solo self found, which I outlined in detail. The idea of this post is to raise discussion about the design choices made by GGG around SSF.

If you're having trouble with your reading comprehension I can't help with that, but can offer some opinions if you'd like.
I don't mind trading in and of itself, but the junk affixes just seem silly. For example, if you get a bow or quarterstaff drop, you are looking basically for phys, phys, fizzy fizz, this is not new either, tri ele gear was popular in POE1, but the depth of desirable and undesirable affixes was still narrow in scope.

So you pickup said bow and it has say 120%ish percent phys and you go exalt it trying to scale that with x-x phys? Accuracy or reduced attribute pops up all damn day. I suppose some accuracy is good, there is like only one reason you would want reduced attribute and it is because of literally one keystone that justifies it and honestly, how much stuff are you shooting at from way off before it charges you in maps to need a bunch of acc? Trade is a bandaid for junk affixes. It exists mostly because of junk affixes and junk affix tiers. Yes, there are the few uniques that are hard to drop but that's secondary for most builds.

I believe a balanced experience is possible without devaluing the game itself. It boils down to finding things. Would you prefer to find things? Or pay someone via your time to find them for you?
