This thing is gona flop

You just dont understand how player numbers work.

Its normal that people stop playing after a while, its been out for a month.
First off alot of people will stop playing because the game isnt for them.
Some people will stop playing while they wait for the game to be further improved because there was something in the early access they didnt like.
Some people stop playing because their done with the game.

Ive stopped playing myself, not because the game is bad but because ive cleared all the content on two different characters and have been playing for unhinged hours for a month now. Ill start playing again when they add more content, as will alot of others.

You cant see the true player retention from the release until they release a major patch or some new content. Theres alot of people who have been playing non stop for a month and have several hundreds of hours played. And the game only being in early access for a month lacks endgame content. Its only natural

What we got is a lazy asset flip with clueless devs who don't play their own game.

7 days ago you already said that you were done. Why not just go back to PoE1 and enjoy yourself? Do you really want to be mad all day every day over a game that you don't like? Come on buddy, that's not worth your time. You don't have to play it.

and yet the game will still be here in a year doing good

Doing so good technical director Jonathan Rogers admitted on stream someone accessed admin account and stole a bunch of stash from random people.
Without an apology.

If this is the only argument you have, I'd try again. This happens even to the biggest of companies, they were transparent about it at the very least. I'm not saying it's a good thing either, but it realistically has nothing to do with how in-game plays out, under normal circumstances it wouldn't affect you. They fixed it and stated what they did after so that it wouldn't happen again.

That in and of itself is still an improvement, if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work and they'll try again. They are going off of feedback as it is, thing will change and get better. The things they did mention in the interview I'm excited for and it will make the game a lot better, it's not coping if you already enjoy the game, its just improvements and that's all.
don't forget that steam doesn't count ps5 xbox players either, certainly the game has the biggest flaws in its optimization but otherwise it's excellent. The mourners make the game easier because they don't know how to make decisions like for the runes but go play another game, nothing's stopping you.

Barely an Improvement at all and an unimportant one. the towers suck but in the grand scheme of issues they shouldn’t have been the one ggg spent time to address first.
I do not seeing the game flopping based on my observations as an early access player. Sometimes people operate in a vacuum of information, and online areas are not always representative of the majority of the population.

I am having an incredible amount of fun in POE2 - experiencing the reset of complex in-game mechanics from the beginning. I have a lot of WoW guild mates who never got into POE1, but appreciate some of the QoL of POE2, like the pausing and reallocation of skill points as people explore builds. They honestly are playing more than I am.

There are challenges, this is early access. I found the discussion of changes in the next major patch to be very exciting and on point. Success is on a scale, and I tend to find some of the best video games having glaring issues because they are a work in progress as development teams take risk and really innovate. Trying bold/new ideas can take time, having the widest range of potential.

I would like to see more time on the end game, including an expansion of mechanics, a look at how to manage/interface with all the atlas nodes over time a bit cleaner, and a rebalance of some less desirable ascendancies, mechanics like armour, and skills. All this to say, I am an average player that still spends a decent portion of my time playing builds discovered/tested by other players. As I look internal, things I found lackluster could be a limitation on my part.

Summarizing, this is early access, success is on a scale, risk involves cost, and I think the game has a solid foundation with a lot of room to grow as it finishes being developed and released. GGG has never really let me down as a development studio, and I individually have trust in them to balance risk. We also do not have a large portion of the classes, ascendancies, skills, campaign, and end game systems. Additionally, we can't discount large releases over time that expand the original scope of POE2 on release.
