This thing is gona flop

We don't know how much Tencent and GGG spend on marketing.
But their scheme should be obvious at this point to anyone who played poe1 and even this scam.
Directly pay a bunch of streamers, youtubers, game urinalists to promote new league/game launch to sell packs/early access packs.
Don't patch it till next league/game launch(citing death threats on reddit or other made up excuse like new years holiday).
Rinse and repeat.
Now i doubt this early access was anything but financial success, but the advertisement budget was probably also magnitudes above usual.
But all of it doesn't matter since game is a boring slop which game devs can't fix because they either ain't allowed to play the game or don't want to play the game(which i can understand since i also don't want to play this asset flip)
3.26 when? But realistically 3.26 is very likely to be either delayed more, complete trash, or a rehashed previous season applied as a maintenance bandaid.

From the podcast the other day it became clear they have nothing significant to present any time soon.
Yes, they must be proud, they effectively scammed people threw a big marketing campain and it worked, and now we all see the garbage we paid for... unfortunately

I played poe1 when the vall in act2 was the last boss

So you watched PoE 1 grow from a buggy, unfinished mess with 2 Acts and no real end game into a fully launched game with a proper end game, and that continued to grow into something that you apparently enjoyed from the supporter packs you picked up. You know first-hand much the game improved, and how much it changed, from beta to launch and post-launch, and yet you're able to predict that PoE 2 is going to flop just from the initial Early Access release that has yet to have any major patches? :) And no, I would not call 0.1.1 a major patch, its a minor patch that smooths out some of the annoying end game issues; its not even bringing a new economy. ;)

I have to say, I went back and did the necro settlers league just for shits and giggles and to get the mystery box and it was refreshing how much fun it was to play that after playing PoE2.

I cant even play PoE2 anymore cause I just feel annoyed, like im not playing a game but im going to work. Thats not why I play games.
Ahah dude, i have the same feeling, zero pleasure to play, it's only tedious, bad choices, terrible engine.

After 30 days, the game has almost 3x more players than any PoE 1 league had during that "league" time.

If PoE 1 maintains 70k players per month and is considered a success for an ARPG, PoE 2 maintaining 100k is even more successful.

I'm not seeing a flop in terms of numbers so far, I'm seeing people wanting to compare other games with ARPGs.

And let's face it, 30 days is more than enough for those who really thought the game was bad to have already dropped out. And don't come here saying "but look at the drop in players" NO game maintains the same player base as when it was launched, including many famous games considered a "success", which had a huge drop in the first few days.

100 this

They know it

They will come up with any excuse to not like the game to the point of straight up lying about it’s success.

If you honestly think a brand new game in early access where the majority of audience paid for the product but are no longer playing is "a success" then sure. but it's not. I find the people with the supporter pack badges to be the most dishonest. this is supposed to be played to gain feedback not played once and dropped.
