This thing is gona flop
" Correct. It's an astounding success. Compare it to numbers of any other early access game ever. |

" What is there to do???? Like I played the classes I wanted to got 2 into late maps and killed arbiter a couple times. Played about 150 hours or so, I'm done until new stuff is added. This is the same point pretty much everyone would stop in a league unless you're going for the challenges. 2-3 weeks every couple months is pretty much everyone's attention span and it seems to have been working for GGG for more than a decade. What would be the point to grinding out maps for currency when I've beat everything already. Sure some ppl like to make tons of new chars but most ppl don't go past 2. Like I didn't pay $30 to have another job, it's a video game. They've already gotten enough feedback on what's out and are making changes. Come march/april when we get a league you'll see tons of ppl come back. |

i bet plenty of people (like me) bought the early access because of the "more tactical approach on isometric ARPG" video footage and dev log, and the game turn out to be one shot simulator
I bet that's one of the reason why population got reduced by half in just 30 days. Kudos to the marketing division i guess. Last edited by SolusiRadikal#3269 on Jan 14, 2025, 1:03:08 PM

This game is disappointing me a lot. I had a lot of fun with Poe-1, there were fantastic leagues that made you forget about the world and have a good time, but Poe-2 feels like a job, and I don't need them for that, it's that simple, I don't need a job, I just need to forget about work xd.
I've decided to stop playing it, because it's the best decision possible and the only way to "convince" myself that this is not what I want. Waiting for the next league in Poe-1, and seeing what games can succeed Poe. Any suggestions? I played poe-1 for 3 years, any as good for this? Only Diablo-2 surpassed it in its time and I played Diablo-3 for 2 months and ended up hating Blizzard. Apparently these developers, once they get rich, don't give a shit about us. So as long as they don't put a league as fun as others in Poe-1, I'll watch out for my interest. Playing Poe-2 is a pain for me right now. In a few years it might be a "success" in the sense of having me there enjoying Poe-1 and Diablo-2 for years, until then "good luck" :). And please, stop the senseless silencing and censorship, a friend was silenced for 2 months on Poe-2 for saying something stupid. You are not the only ones in the universe, and there are people who love freedom. Sunbathing is not bad either :). |

I did not play POE1 but have played tons of ARPG style games and I can tell you hands down this is the most fun in a video game I’ve ever had. 91 invoker enjoying and learning all this end game content you guys complain about (I’m enjoying it).
More Div for me |

" I don't think people understand the concept of "success", unless they themselves are enjoying it lol. I've said it before and I'll say it again: game could close TOMORROW and it would still be a resounding success. Even D4 is a "success" despite its current state and reputation. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Jan 14, 2025, 1:15:41 PM

Because you define success by Money feedback, having 200K doesn"t have 200K happy players first, second that not because you sold copies that the game is good, it is relied to marketing, people projecting the previous experienced game.
We can't say the game is a success with so many topics arround the Net saying the game is Garbage + the loss of players. Last edited by Neurodrive#5820 on Jan 14, 2025, 1:21:13 PM

Well, On the bright side, there are like 100 gems and 24 ascendencies still coming to the game. On the downside, there are huge chunks of bots in the player base right now which will only grow after upcoming new release.

The game is a huge success. The dropping playerbase is normal, because players have spent already 100-300 hours in this game and now are just waiting for more content. Many players will return after major content patches OR when the game gets released. I myself don't play right now because I've had my fun with it and now I'm waiting for content. Still love the game.
I mean, look at PoE1 seasons. They always start quite strong and then the playerbase dropped. Was PoE1 a flop because of that? Nah. GGG doesn't need players to play all day long. They need play who constantly come back and buy a supporter pack from time to time. |
