no, it has nothing to do with ego.
lots of people think the game is the opposite of fun, and they are here on the forums explaining why. thats the point of the forums. then theres the people with egos on the forums trying to gatekeep opinions. i agree tho, this game is not hard, its frustrating and tedious and unfun. despite a 1500 node skill tree, only 3 dev approved builds work, and only no life streamers can devote the time to play magic find builds to work their orb grinding digital jobs. if thats the ecosystem GGG wants, fine, but the playerbase for that game is going to be tiny. Hes not even an elitist. Either his main account was banned or hes done almost nothing in poe1.
Elitists more often than not play the difficult content in the game successfully. Or they swing off the nuts of the guys that do. (streamer lovers) |

" It's because he's not playing the game, he's beating it. I've seen it come up alot in the post eldenring discourse. Lots of players simply want a challenge, but the quality of the gameplay or the reason it's challenging simply doesn't matter to them. If the reason it's difficult is because your character randomly has a heart attack and die every now and again they'll still consider it a valid challenge. As soon as you say "this game is difficult" they turn into addicts and need to beat it, like teaching simple maths to a toddler, the more difficult you tell them it is, the more proud of themselves they are for succeeding. |

I'm pretty open about the fact that I play any game with an easy/story mode on easy/story mode.

not sure what you expect from a first month of early access
obviously you never play a beta or early access around 2000 :) game arpg or mmo around that time use to be very rough vs today early access game are so smooth i play ffxi bqck them and have to wait 3 day for 1 single dragon and you have most best guild of the server camping the same monster gaming today is just soft vs 2000 to be high warlord in wow you have to play around 16 to 20 a hour a day for 3 1/2 month to 4 month and only 60000 (0.1%) use to be crown let be honest guy gamer today are just very soft with big ego and always complain play my first rpg on the intellivision :) Chris Wilson"I want to make sure that melee classes are as good as they can be" Last edited by charley222#3935 on Jan 11, 2025, 5:19:33 PM
