poe 2 sucks the fun out of gaming
my only complaint with the game is that it takes too long to get anywhere in the endgame. like way too long. breach is fine (6-10 maps), logbooks is okay (~3 maps and then orloth shows up every fourth or so), breach and ritual are a joke. takes too long to get to t15 asf. i dont mind any of the other stuff you guys are on about, for me its only numbers tweaking. and i also love the fake consensus argument, the game already is a huge success even if every single person quits now. edit: i also think that res and 'crafting' sucks, its just busywork. even if you get into it, unless you math your way to a trading concept 'crafting' is pointless and res makes it so you need very specific items for a late game upgrade. i would solve res tradeoff differently.

" Guy, if half the player base left already (according to steam stats) in a game that's "designed to be played forever" according to Chris... and then you make the obvious calculation that more than half of the playerbase are bots (as is the case in every single league for POE 1). Then... you realize 20-25% of the original playerbase is still playing and that's a GENEROUS estimate. It's probably closer to 10% or less. That's an issue. That's a huge red flag. for a more specific and smaller dataset: On my friends list 30 people were playing POE 2 at launch. It was crazy, I had to SCROLL to get through the list to see what anyone else was playing. Only one person is still playing. It is currently a 50 hour game. Your friends are smart. Stop playing when it isn't fun. More fun will be added, maybe as soon as this weekend. 50 hours of fun for a $30 investment is not a catastrophe.

100% agree i will play this game in few months when they fix the game.
i have played 150h and doing t15 maps for 1 weeks ago with 160 rarity drop. Never seen an divine or nice drop. IDK how it work, i can see for youtube people with 600 divines... so funny game. |

I mostly agree the baseline loot drop is lame during the campaign and early endgame (can't attest to late endgame as I don't think it's worth my time grinding for more exalts to upgrade my gear, when I could go for full clears of 5 consecutive maps without any single exalted orb drop, which I need for both upgrading my gear and for juicing the maps).
But I do think it might improve if we continue to give feedback. The reason is because I remember they said they didn't want to give a lot then have to take them back. And so we are essentially starting at a very resource starved balance at the moment. The more people say it's fine, the more they will think it is fine and thus the game will launch in this state. So feedback is really important now. I'm eagerly awating the stream on Monday to see if GGG even recognize this problem. If they are fine with the loot right now, then that's just that...I'm just not good enough a grinder for this game. :x |

" Those are almost all from trading. In a game that doesn't value trading enough to have an in-game trading mechanic or search or AH... It's kind of funny, actually. Visit my Steam profile here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/TheBaconOverlord/

" I agree with the portal, but anyone who complains about the bots needs to rethink a couple things. #1 ea chars will not go to the normal standard league, so in reality yes its annoying but is basically irrelevant in the grand scheme. Also if anyone actually spends RMT in this ea league thats hilarious as you litterally pissed money away in the worst possible way so I'm fine with it you didn't deserve that money anyway. And finnaly since this league doesn't matter, I wouldn't ban bots yet anyway, cuz as soon as you do they start figuring out how to get around any new system you develop to counter them, so waiting as long as possible is better and allows you to acculumate a larger pool of bot accounts to eventual ban.(ie the real standard league) |

You want easy fun and you think it's a problem that the game gets hard so you'll come back later?
People who want light and casual fun complete the campaign and stop there. People (like me) who want a meaty game to sink into thats hard to complete will keep playing, even if we never reach 100. We will all come back for next release/league/patch. POE2 mechanics are working as intented. Last edited by KuroSF#6521 on Jan 10, 2025, 11:00:32 AM

" You MUST be getting paid to defend the game.. you're on here in every thread doing it despite all the glaring, obvious issues, bud. I suppose you think this is all "working as intended" too, right? 1. Exp Penalties in a PVE game (absolutely no point to this) 2. The horribly implemented "ascendancy trials" that have nothing whatsoever to do with the ascendancy you're trying to get/progress. 3. Mapping is the ONLY end-game activity (even in POE 1). 4. No travel powers/mounts. 5. Costs for respecs instead of free respecs and an armory of some kind to quickly switch between builds. 6. The ability to skip the campaign to get to end-game during leagues. 7. Flipped asset maps (mirrored act 1-3 in 4-6) which they say is temporary, but they said the same thing in POE 1... a decade ago. 8. Trading mechanic in-game, not the broken bandaid they ported over from POE 1 just to get trade working. 9. No Bot bans (which right now and for the first few weeks of every league would be roughly half the active population). 10. Hardcore style maps (die once, you lose).
