poe 2 sucks the fun out of gaming

No Drops, that's fun
Ground clutter.. why because we likes it with no filter in poe 1?
Trials great idea, but 30 min wiped from one death or over tuned pyramids
or that stupid owl or just a bad room.
getting stuck on the environment with on death effects.

the time sink to hunt towers and set up one or two decent maps is ridiculous,
Especially with one portal.... and its random, that's a great idea.

been a long time since I quit a game. I'm sure ill be back in the spring/summer after a lot of changes but wow was this a disappointment.

Completely 100% agree.

POE2 design is pure and utter garbage. This game is going to have a high attrition rate and poor season-to-season player peaks until the devs reverse this stupid "ruthless" design philosophy.

The only question is whether they will come to their senses before the damage is done, or wait until the player is base is too low.

There's so much they need to fix in this game.

I really, really hope they do.

I can't play it like it is... and I TRIED to love POE 1... for thousands of hours I slogged through the same worn-out campaign. I think I only made it to mapping like 3x because the campaign was just so dull the 300th time.

Now it's even LONGER... Joy.

THe exp penalties in a PVE game to somehow gate progression is hilarious... the ascendancies are beyond confusing that anyone would green light them as ascendancy trials when they have absolutely NOTHING to do with anyone's class or their chosen ascendancy nor do they test those choices in a TRIAL made to do so.

Then there's the horrible trading bandaid they put in POE 1 to make trading work... that THEY PORTED OVER TO POE 2, lol. I... mean... why?

No mounts, no travel powers, no way to get your exp back, no end-game beyond "mapping" forever, the flipped assets with the first half of the game being mirrored in the second half JUST LIKE POE 1.

I mean... It's almost like someone said "This is my vision and nobody's opinion matters"

I stopped playing the week before Xmas. Trading, 1 portal with no revives for duo, invisible/hidden one shot on-death/ground effects, server instance lag, defenses doing nothing, etc all contributed. The game isn't worth my time thus I've stopped playing.

There's going to be a major problem for GGG I think. A lot of casuals who get to end game will bounce off it hard as it's the opposite of the campaign. You go from no punishment, able to retry fights and learn, to insane punishments, progress wiped, impossible to complete content, etc. Those casuals quit the game like myself and many others. They no longer provide feedback beyond what they saw, and will eventually just leave and not return.

The only ones in the near future who'll be giving feedback are those still playing, the ones who like an endgame more punishing then PoE1. Thus the game will likely go in that direction and die or forever be a tiny niche less then PoE1.
Path of Trading 2.

Lots of things to fix and tweak but base game was fun during campaign but is getting worn out at end game. The shiny toy is getting played out and needs tweaking to get there.

Yes it is, and not a good one. I mean, did they really test the core mechanics before releasing an EA ? It will permanently give a very bad taste in the mouth of many players. I beta tested POE 1 and the experience was gratifying and you already had a clear picture of what they were going for. Here, its like if the devs forgot that its an ARPG and not a souls like, so many ideas doesn't fit.

I mean if you think the POE1 campaign is this huge slog and the worst thing to ever happen, only making it to mapping 3x, than yea, I dont know what you are doing here still.

Thats a lot of supporter bages for having only made it to mapping 3 times. Not sure what you are expecting out of the game to be frank.

1 portal was the last straw not to mention the game being balanced around trade despite the fact there are a billion bots.
