XP Loss, a division for no reason.

I would play softcore if it was an option. When I lose 10% exp on 90+ level in PoE(1 or 2) something dies inside of me.

That's...unfortunate. Tying a part of your well-being to a little bar at the bottom of the screen of a game.

Instead of trying to change an entire company to suit your desires, maybe realize that if you've hit level 90, you're already further than a vast majority of players.

You want softcore mode so you can absolutely be the god-king of casuals, not to fit in with them. If you got to 90 on standard, you don't need softcore. Your character is at worst mostly complete, at best, actually complete.

In short: know your place peasant :D

The reality however is fear. Its fear that noone cares about the high level character "achievment". And its fear that the silent majority would pick the mode without the loss and you end up with a smaller player market so you get trouble setting up your meta builds.

+1

GGG tried convince people that "Ruthless" was the NEW good in PoE, failed miserably... So, they had to double down and make PoE 2 the so called "Rutheless" throwing it down the throat of everyone.

I hope that the ones that defending the EXP Loss, are the 0.1% that played Ruthless in PoE.

OH I have a lot of arguments, I'm just tired of repeating them to every single sycophant who wants to turn this franchise into mush, like they have done with every single fucking previous one.

If you want easy games and instant gratification, there are many games for out of there, go fucking play those instead of trying to ruin another one with your whining.

You have no arguments.

If ppl come and suggest to remove the XP loss ppl like you dont want it and come with arguments like "it is an achievment" or some other stuff into that direction.

If ppl then suggest to turn this into a seperate mode you also dont want it and dont bring any argument besides "community seperation".

The reality however is fear. Its fear that noone cares about the high level character "achievment". And its fear that the silent majority would pick the mode without the loss and you end up with a smaller player market so you get trouble setting up your meta builds.

Another fucking moron projecting his own insecurities onto others. People like me don't give a flying fuck what level you are, never have, never will, don't fucking care okay, pal? It's not the end of the world if you die in a map, learn to deal with it, or go back to diablo fucking 4.

So you are fine with removing it then. If you dont care about the level of others than there is no argument to be made to keep the mechanic.

"You dont like our wares, go somewhere else" is not a valid business model. Its not like ppl expect unreasonable changes here. Its the one hot topic that would not change anything about the gameplay at all and would not have any negative impact. It would howver bring in more players and last i looked GGG burns an easy 3-4m a month just in salaries so more customers dont exactly hurt them.

Literally not. More like, quit being the Call of Duty guy that reverse-boosts his account to shit on 8 year olds all day, then shows all his friends his 36-0 game against Timmy NoThumbs x6 so he looks like an absolute chad.

I, unlike the person I originally responded to, don't care how much better or worse at the game someone is than I am - that's why I'm still enjoying good ol' Standard.

Disingenuous BULL. Every time. It's not about caring about your level or their level (but I understand why you, someone who only cares about your stature against others, would see that first and foremost).

It's the fact that guess what? BEING LEVEL 100 IS BORING. You can bitch and moan and complain ALL you want, but no one loves BEING max level. If you really want it, you refine your build and play your best and FINALLY MAKE IT. It's the journey that matters...

...and I promise you'll remember "dying at level 99 and 99% but spending 5 more hours to come back and hit 100" far more than "I did the thing anyone can do with little to no effort"

Don't you worry your pants, people like me will support this company to the end of the fucking world. I only display here a tiny fraction of what I'm willing to spend in order to keep the integrity of this franchise intact.

There are many easy mode, gimmie handout developers for you there, go fucking play one of their games instead of trying to turn one of the few remaining titles that reward actual effort and efficiency, instead of turning everybody into a equitable copy of one another.
The argument for keeping xp loss has been made repeatedly and it has nothing to do with bragging rights. It’s about having a challenge with meaningful setbacks. The fact that some people can do it but others can’t (or won’t: the game isn’t so hard that it’s undoable by people with ordinary gaming ability) is beside the point. I want a game that is balanced and has stakes that make it exciting. 10% xp is not that high of stakes.
You guys are always talking about the challange it is to reach level 100. But if you are honest to yourself, its not a challenge of skill.

The reality was in POE1 and will be in POE2(with the xp loss) that at 90+ most of the challange is not to fall asleep while you grind harmless maps which will give you a least a tiny bit of xp but dont have the danger of killing you. Those who are not patient enough for this will buy carry services.

Only a tiny fraction will still play challeging maps.

P.S.: Its just a speculation but is it possible that those who defend the xp loss here, are fearing that there carryservice, they wana establish, will be unnecessary if the xp loss will be gone
+1,

I want to migrate to softcore and chill
