So much hate for this game from "fans"

This is one of the worst ARPGs I've ever played. Annoying mechanics in Aescension, boring combat, boring skill tree that doesn't seem to affect your character in any tangible way, and is full of noob traps to boot. I love grinding out levels so I can increase my energy shield recharge by 3 points, lmao

The game's aesthetic is depression.

agree. i cant think of a single thing that poe2 does better than poe. poe is just better in every way. it almost feels like the people who made poe2 are not even the same people who made poe.

because nobody wants to play the same league for 6 months. as soon as there is a fresh league i am going back to poe. as will all the other poe casuals too. poe2 numbers will drop significantly because i suspect a lot of people only play now because there has been no update to poe for almost 6 months

Totally agree, very strange decision to recruit a player base that fed the project and gave it progression, got in return a “new vision” and a game that starts to punish you for what you loved in poe 1.

Why such an ardent attempt to imitate diablo, why do we need another diablo clone? What they could really do in poe 2 is fix the problems of poe 1 and update the visuals and a new storyline, the game would be awesome and continue to create great and interesting leagues, and in the end we got a complete disappointment, poe 1 leagues are now once every half a year and they're inferior in content to the leagues poe 1 to poe 2 development, and poe 2 turned out to be terrible.

ITT: People who've done nothing to support GGG shitting on people who literally paid for the game to get made for them, accusing those people of being "bad fans".

They took money from the playerbase of PoE1 to create what was for a large part of its development touted as a second campaign with shared endgame as PoE1, then pivoted it to take all the bad parts of PoE1 and create a new game with them. All the while, they claim that PoE1 will remain active for those that like the style of the game more, yet there it sits with a skeleton crew development and no league for literally 6 months.

You can deride it as entitlement all you like; if the people who spend money on PoE1 didn't do so PoE2 would not exist, and you're kidding yourself if you believe there is a completely separate cohort of players of PoE2 that will keep supporting it now that it's out, or that people who love PoE1 will keep paying for PoE2 to thrive while PoE1 languishes with negative development.

Most PoE 2 players will have never played Path of Exile.
