It's a "Fantasy" ARPG but Where's the "Fantasy" of our Choice?

I agree, we need more customization in char creation.

But I have to say: if I could choose male/female would be a lot better than gender lock.

GGG, take care of this!

Its not a game where you make a character like Skyrim, its a game where you play an established character with its own personality and backstory like Witcher. You can be almost certain that there wont be any customization in that regard. You can ask ba chances are boredering on 0 to ever get it. Its a narrative choice.

There’s a backstory to these characters? Been playing for years and never stumbled upon it. You mean that one paragraph of text at the character select screen? lol, yeah that definitely pigeon holes the characters looks as it goes into great depth about what they look like, their gender, etc.

it looks like an ai clone of a tasteless anime softporn abomination drawn by a thirsty uncultured 14 year old.

As a man of culture I respectfully disagree. It would add class and a touch of sensuality. No need to oppress women in a video game.
1) D4 has two gender options for each class, and since "D4 BAD", you will never see gender options for classes in PoE2.
2) D2 had gender-locked classes and it's a pinnacle of gaming that can't be surpassed, so GGG is copying that.

Pick your take but that's probably all you need to know about this issue.
