Trading in PoE2 is an awful experience

I whispered 30 different people and got no responses at all. It wasted 20 minutes of my life just waiting and hoping and whispering the next and the next and the next.

I spent over an hour doing this. Whispering, whispering, whispering... Trying to buy an item. I was already starting to think that somewhere in my settings, receiving invitations or whispering back was disabled. I also tried changing the interface language and the gateway before whispering.

exactly the same for me. this is an absolute joke. why would anyone bother with that? gettign somebody to reply is rarer than finding the stuff in the first place. theres so much cool stuff out there why can´t i just buy it? it makes 0 sense at all. i don´t want to work another job i want to play a game.
of the 30 uniques i used exactly one. but i can ewasily see how the for me useless stuff would be quite useful for other builds with other characters. but too bad, it´s practically impossible to trade with this idiotic system.
i guess i start scrapping my unique garbage and clear up some space since everything else is a pointless waste of time.

lol, no one here has commented what is actually going on.

Those listings are bots. They are designed so that when people price jewels quickly using the overlay, it shows that 10 listings list it has worth 1 exalt.

Then when that player lists it for 1 exalt, trade bots swarm them when messages, teleport and buy the item, then relist it for 10 or so which is further down the trade page.

Its basically a scam and part of the game. And the Jewel market is hilarious, because take energy shield %20 for example. They will list 20 a minute, but somehow they are all worth a divine. There are lists at 1 exalt with good stats for days, none of them respond because this is the bot network that buys 1 exalt 20 energy shield and immediately relists them.

This is happening across all markets, jewels are most obvious because there are clearly hundreds and hundreds of them but they're all magically worth 1 divine.

When Lost Ark released in USA, what none of us realized was they already had an entire bot program built that leveled through the entire campaign... 8 box. You could run 8 accounts at the same time on the same pc, and the bot was designed to make rapport which remember early on gave tons of gold?

This is how the Lost Ark economy quickly was skuffed.

Whenever there is real life $$$ to be made, while you're playing the game tools are being created to literally control this fake virtual economy so they can sell $1500 mirrors lol.

Whats funny is standard is always skuffed and obsolete but people are wasting their money on ingame stuff and the economy is ruined. You really need SSF with 100 MF built in.
they should add all trading to the currency exchange. Guild wars style auction house. where things go if they are listed. no need to go anywhere or whisper anyone. Plus bots wont be able to price fix by listing options for cheap.
This trade system is a deal breaker. The bots are getting worse by the day, and it’s virtually unusable playing on console.

The trade system needs to be fully baked into the game. Forcing a 3rd party program for trades is beyond stupid. Hopefully the developers have this as a priority to complete prior to gold.
I hate the trading experience. Whispering players on a website, then alt-tabbing back to the game and waiting...then alt-tab to look at the website to find a similar item and whispering, alt-tab and wait a bit longer. Over and over again, it's a chore of whispering, alt-tabbing, and waiting.

Then you get the attempted scams, some of which I'm sure are successful against new players. You also get the people trying to artificially set low prices with no intention of ever selling at that price.

Perhaps limit players to selling only five or fewer items at a time on the auction house and then offer (for real cash) the ability to sell more than five items at a time. That way, it's technically possible to play for free, but many players will buy the premium option.
Trading needs to be instant like the exchange mechanic in game. Seems a bit odd that you have to wait for player interactions if they are actively busy playing the game and just want an item gone.

I've tried trading and it seems pretty janky, also it would suck if the same person is spammed out of existence because multiple people are after the same item they have.

There needs to be a better way, either buy out options or bidding if you have to with a reasonable timeframe with no player to player interaction, this would remove issues that could arise eg afk/busy or just no response.

Edit: Also allow seller to set single or multiple choices for what the item could be sold for eg do they want ex or would large cash sums work or maybe even a different currency as an alternative if the player is happy with any type of chosen payment

There needs to be penalties for people "selling" things, who do not respond to buyers. They know full well what they're doing. It's also being used as a mechanic to drive prices up based on how many interests they see for items.

You shouldn't have things up for sale if you don't have time to sell them.
Respond, or get a warning.
Respond, or get a temporary suspension, up to X amount of time based on infractions.
At some point, ban all together from selling via the online system.
Yes it's trash ... we need Auction
crazy idea, don't trade.
