The Market CURRENCY MANIPULATION by BOTS and Currency Sellers is INSANE

"
There's no reason and no need to enforce any fixed prices, as been suggested. Also, as it has been mentioned - replacement of trade website with the auction house will not solve problems of RMT or bot trading. In WoW the auction house is 24/7/365 operated by 99% bots, same with any other online-game where RMT makes sense.

Solution is quite simple - Bind on Trade.

- Once you get any item, it can be traded to any other account once.

- After Account B received the item from Account A, the item becomes permanently bound to account B. Account B can use it and move it between own characters, can sell it to vendors, or do whatever - but this item can never be transferred to any other account.

Plain simple. Very radical. Fixes and destroys 99% of RMT economy and all people doing that. Everything else is just "talking about combating the non-existent RMT".

Implications? - Game is now just a game, and not a trading simulator, or a source of income.

Will it ever happen? - Of course, not. Because botters and RMT-traders will leave the game, and users of RMT services will also highly-likely leave the game.
This is a pretty good solution. It eliminates flipping without any impact on the average player.

I'm not refuting about bots and currency sellers situation, but the biggest problem on this inflated price are ;

1) There is no actual currency sink
2) The loot buffs makes prices gone up faster

IF ONLY we actually have a well-functioning "crafting" system like PoE 1, we wouldn't be trading currency orbs but instead consuming them to actually craft out gears.

Was there ever a currency sink for divines BEFORE the meta changes in poe1? NO and back then they were 1:15 divine:chaos. And in poe2 divines work in the exact same way, with no metacraft or other usage expect to rerolling values. It doesn't make sense for the prices to be so high as it is now. Their droprates are pretty much the same if not more than POE1.

That is exactly the problem, the game still following the exact same situation with PoE 1.

People coming from PoE 1 > having conditioned that divine is "THE" value > Having no currency sink in PoE 2 > Buffed looted > Here we are.

And its not just about the usability of divine, but we just simply don't have well-functioning crafting system, where we use the orbs to craft items not just simply press and pray. So orbs ended up never really sinked in and yet the keep being generated way way faster than they being consumed.

Did you look at trade lately? All items are 1div for something you can make with 5 exalt. People still trying to play poe1 and keep their orbs. Just use them.

The crafting system is just simply a gamble, and most people rather choose to keep their exalts rather than using them. And it even make more sense for people to play PoE 2 like PoE 1, to keep their orbs and use them for trade instead of crafting.
I dont even know who is using divines, if they are hording it. Divine value should be going down
The trade site has gotten so bad I almost Uninstalled the whole game. I'm barely getting enough currency to try to make my own gear so I go on the trade site. For 2 pieces of gear is 12 divine for the cheapest. I've only ever seen one and the game says I have 9 days, 15 hours, 38 minutes. One divine orb. One greater jeweler orb. I might get 5 exalted a DAY. How am I ever supposed to enjoy a game that cripples any fun I could have.
There's so much RMT happening, in global/trade/whispers constantly. Have players messaging to ask to pay IRL money rather then the couple of divine for items.

Their websites list thousands and thousands of divines/exalted orbs, and it's poisoning the economy and normalising RMT use with their spam/players using it without (apparent) penalty.

There's plenty of industry options and games that have curbed this stuff going on, you can't eliminate it, but frictions points that rarely affect legitimate players, but are very disruptive to their way of operating can be done.
EZ Solution: Stop caring about the 'economy' in a dungeon-crawl videogame.

Soon as they stop designing the dungeon-crawl videogame around the idea that people will trade like this, sure.

Until then, people are impacted by this mess even if they never trade.

There's a couple of high-end uniques that are being divined. Ingenuity and Astramentis are examples but there are a few more.

The trade website currently sorts wrong and values divines at 7ex each.

Simply set the following filter at the bottom of the trade website to exalted orbs and you'll find most semi-meta uniques and early to mid mapping rares for dirt cheap.

Limiting one of the buy or sell currencies to its maximum stack size would fix this... but only one of the currencies in the order could be capped.

You couldn't do that with BOTH currencies involved in an order, as some things are simply worth more than a stack of what you may be asking for. (for example a whittling omen the other day was 170 exalts)

Still better than nothing.

Doing it just for divines will make things much better. Since it's main currency.

Like limit buy/sell to 1 stack (10 divs) at the time. No more 200k chaos walls, with 50 chaos per div you can buy only 500 chaos at the time max.
