The Market CURRENCY MANIPULATION by BOTS and Currency Sellers is INSANE

I'm not refuting about bots and currency sellers situation, but the biggest problem on this inflated price are ;

1) There is no actual currency sink
2) The loot buffs makes prices gone up faster

IF ONLY we actually have a well-functioning "crafting" system like PoE 1, we wouldn't be trading currency orbs but instead consuming them to actually craft out gears.

Yea, RMT ruined a lot of leagues. Honestly I'm pretty sure its propping up the economy of north korea. I wish people would stop doing it.

As long as there is money to be made people are going to abuse it. It's really up to GGG as they support RMT implicitly, by ignoring it all these years.

They don't ignore it, but yea this is especially egregious. I think they should go scorched earth on this one.

Did you look at trade lately? All items are 1div for something you can make with 5 exalt. People still trying to play poe1 and keep their orbs. Just use them.
This entire thread is a misunderstanding because OP didn't notice the "less than" sign next to the bottom ratio listing...

the lowest ratio listed combines the total of all listings at that ratio and lower.

I've never seen it this bad in poe 1, it seems like they found a dupe or glitch to be able to push the market so hard and so quickly.
Homecoming "fixed" their City of Heroes market in an interesting way.

They put up a few million of each item at a reasonable but not great price. Still leaves plenty of room for people to buy/sell etc. at fair to good prices, but if they try to sell over the amount set by HC, not gonna work.

The COH auction system works a bit different then most too on how the buy/sell orders work.

If it's not clear by now GGG not only allows market manipulation and bots to profit, but actively encourages it. You can freely currency scam in trade chat to your hearts content, but if you report currency scammers your account gets muted.

This is basic trade league **** happens in every league and every game with trading. Happens every single time you start to involve money into a game, it becomes no longer about entertainment but about value. Unless you chose SSF at char creation, that's what you signed up for, so don't complain.

This. If there is real money to be made people will relentlessly exploit it in every way possible. They will leave a good game a broken wasteland if it means they can make a buck. It's not so much a video game problem it's a people problem. Often times counter acting this type of behavior with systems in game is either impossible or just negatively effects average players in the end.

I always think of WoW when it comes to this kind of stuff. People could always sell carries in the game but I never saw any of it. I slowly watched it become so rampant that I had to quit. For me it just cheapens the whole experience and ruins the integrity of the game.

This is 100% the sentiment. RMTs will come and go in a week of game time, they spend the money and blast, but it leaves the average players experience in shambles.

Was there ever a currency sink for divines BEFORE the meta changes in poe1? NO and back then they were 1:15 divine:chaos. And in poe2 divines work in the exact same way, with no metacraft or other usage expect to rerolling values. It doesn't make sense for the prices to be so high as it is now. Their droprates are pretty much the same if not more than POE1.
