Giving up on the game - I can't get past Act 2 (no chance in hell)

there is a reason they didnt replace poe 1 with poe 2, they are 2 different games for different audiences both games will continue to be updated and if you dont like poe 2 then you casn go back to poe 1

jamanra is only an issue if your build is not good, i can objectively say he is not a hard boss especially with the newest changes, i very much urge you to send your build into the discord and get help with it

in act 2 you can at the very least get 1 resistance to 75 by investing little or none into the others i highly recommend looking for lightning resistant armour

but if you do not enjoy the game then dont play it, the game is not ruthless mode it is fine as it is and sure i might get replies calling me a ggg bootlicker go ahead but if you are struggling in an act 2 boss you are either doing something incredibly wrong and im sure with a bit of tweaking to your builds youd be able to beat it poe 2 is not that hard and its a lot less of a dodging simulator than you seem to think it is

making the game easier than it already is would mean completely removing any challenge the game has at all, while i do believe that certain balancing issues are still here stuff like players getting 20k energy shield vs life based getting around 3k is stupid but none of the balance issues reside in the bosses

people seem to think theres an issue with being bad, everyone was bad at some point
In my opinion, there is no way you can't beat him if you made it to the end of Act II on your own. Try harder.
If you have bad hand/eye coordination (honestly not sure what that even means) or a disability I am sorry for you. But a game shouldn't be designed around the 1% with such issues.

I am old and also had some problems due to visual clutter (Although changing my cursor to large size and high contrast helped me a lot). Peopl need to accept that if they had a limitation they need to use the helps available.. like a party.

Poor hand/eye coordination is the time it takes for your eye to see something, your brain to process it and to invoke a muscle response. It's not a disability it's a natural thing - people tend(ed) to learn that in biology class. Maybe today learning about gender identity is more important.

And if you think it's 1% you have no clue what you're talking about. That's like saying: Everyone who can't do 100m sprint under 10 seconds is a handicapped loser! The amount of people who is being shut out by GGG with their boss designs is FAR larger than 1%. If you take the time to read on reviews you'll see that the amount of complaints is at least equal to the amount of praise. But it's like with colour blindness - when you don't have the issue, you cannot relate.

You might try what I did. If you can't beat him solo, join up with a couple of other players and have them help you. He's the only boss I couldn't do solo. I do have decent hand/eye coordination but he can seem pretty daunting. You're dodging for 90% of the fight, hiding behind the bubble during the storm 5% of the fight, and actually fighting the rest of the time. Get some help to get past him so you don't have to look at his ugly face again lol, at least for awhile.

Thanks, that is good advice but for ARGPs I have two rules that I follow (because I found my experience ruined when I didn't):

1: No trade - you play the game with what you find or craft
2: No partying - you do it by yourself or you fail

Since I can't beat him, the game isn't for me and thus my POE2 journey ends.

I've had a look at your profile and characters. You've never hit level 90 and most of your gear on all chars is missing pretty fundemental things. Looks like you largely play SSF but even then POE1 is so insanely loot heavy it's pretty easy to gear to life/res gear. And then farming a bit of harvest and expedition will get you sorted for clearing the POE1 atlas.

I'd be keen to see the gear you're rocking on your POE2 chars and passives etc. I bet we could find some improvements or some objectives to move/progress towards to make your chars better and get the boss down. If that's not appealing, well I guess you're right in saying POE2 aint your bag. But I don't think POE1 really was either? Where did you get to in the atlas usually? What about boss wise? Though I can understand having fun getting to level 80 on chars with no gear and rolling something else over and over. I've done it some leagues. However, the POE1 campaign is a literal face roll and they've even increased the difficulty of early acts recently..

Now for the first part:

There were only two bosses I had issues with because they took long enough to force a mistake (once again, if you don't have the issue you can't relate - try to understand it though. Image you have a 5% chance to drop an explosive container when juggling. Now ... if you have to juggle 100 times, you WILL drop the explosive, if you juggle 10 times, you still have a very high chance to not drop it)

The other boss was Zalmarath but once you understand that if you stay close to his hand on the altar, the fight becomes super easy. There is no easy with Jamanra:

You have to dodge some of his projectile attacks
You have to be behind him when he does his AoE
You need to run to Asala when the Sandstorm hits
You have to avoid the static poles when they are near you
You have to avoid the surviving mobs from the sandstorm without losing track of what the boss does

You fail one of these and the fight is over. This is the 5% chance of dropping the explosive while juggling. And since the boss has a huge HP pool you need to juggle for a while - and during the juggling I always drop the explosive.
He isnt that hard. Pay attention to what he is saying and recognise the patterns.

It is a bit of a gear check fight.

Its the act boss, it should be a challenge.

How can I enable that for POE2? You need to look at the XBox section.

As for the PoE1, kindly keep in mind:

I do play SSF (or when in trade league only to sell fossiles or maps for currency to get enough fusions to try for a 6-link)
I tend to play 2 to 3 hours per day, which kinda limits your loot output.
Kinda sad seeing people quitting just because this game was made into some Ruthless 2.0 darksouls knockoff that isn't even dark souls at all.

But hey at least people will be more hyped to go back to PoE 1. Like just watching this sleepfest of a campaign being run by streamers has made me excited to go and do the 10-hour campaign next league in PoE 1 lol

And it's made me appreciate the fact we still have lab instead of whatever cringe these ascendancy trials are that they put into PoE 2 with 0 testing or forethought.
I died to his first phase twice. Once from the sand cuz I didn't see the companion with the shield and 2nd time realizing it's just attack and dodge spam.

Second phase I did first try. I can say DO NOT rely on audio queues in this game. Use animations and if all else fails just level a 1-2 times. Level means way too much currently.
