The Game suffers from Multiple Crash Bugs Yet GGG Is Silent

They are working on it, GGG isn't going to ignore an issue like this, but it's not so simple an issue to investigate because the fact is that the vast majority of players are not experiencing this issue, I'm at 43 hours and I've never crashed once.

Also, if you want someone to help you, being nice and helpful is actually a faster more effective approach. Insulting them when we are only 9 days out of early access and they are working to fix a lot of bugs and gameplay issues that every single person thinks they should be priority one is ridiculous.

There is 14,000 threads in the bug forum and probably of couple of people going through them and a couple people trying to fix them, you think with 9 days of work they can individually respond to every single person and still be working on the problem?

Please be reasonable, they want to help you, please give them time to do so before beginning the insulting and conspiring to ruin their reputation.

This is your new edit then...

Well I'll address your claim "that the vast majority of players are not experiencing this issue": Look at the first post. These two threads are the ones with most pages, replies, and views. Their only rival is each other. They are even more populous than the entire "[POE 2] Bugs" thread.

What percentage of the player population do you constitute as majority? Of the million players that have purchased the game, you're saying over 500,000 are currently experiencing this issue when majority of the complaints are about gameplay issues? If majority of the complaints are gameplay issues then that means those people are playing and not crashing.

If we do some napkin math to put things in perspective, there are 14,000 threads in the bug forum.

There are 12960 minutes since the day the game released, there are 14000 bug threads. If they completed and responded and fixed and programmed and patched and released one for every bug thread. . . well crap they would have to do one less than a minute each. Sounds like they are pretty time strapped amiright? Maybe they are working on your problem instead of wasting time typing to 14000 threads.

First of all:
They should be communicating about this issue constantly by now. People are losing their hardware. Even a simple "Don't play if you crash, we are investigating, sorry about that" pinned here and on Steam would be an immense step forward at this point.

There are no bugs that are more important than this. This is not "I cannot use X skill bug". This is "improper usage of system APIs by the application" causing "100% CPU utilization" leading to a crash, resulting in "shortened component lifespan and possibly bricking PC".

And if you want to talk about numbers:
Hard crashing PC locks up: 178 Pages, 1770 Replies, 100885 Views. Created at 7th of December, 2024.

POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen: 149 Pages, 1485 Replies, 142243 Views. Created at 7th of December, 2024.

Known Issues: 119544 Views.

In terms of per post this problem is by far the most populous one. It is just that people are not flooding the forum with separate threads and join in on the existing one. There are many (which we can see from the view count) that monitor the threads for the fix but don't write themselves. If everyone were to make their own threads then we would have >16000 threads and 2000 of those threads would be "I hard crashed". And this is the minimum possible amount.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.
That's exactly why you should know they are working on it, its definitely a problem, it could be multiple problems because assuming that all of these people are crashing for the same reason is also probably extremely unlikely, it could be an issue that involves them communicating with other companies etc, such as microsoft or nvidia/amd drivers for certain functions.

I am not saying you don't have a reason to be upset, I wouldn't be happy if I couldn't play either but those feelings of frustration need to be handled with maturity. Absolutely you should make this post, but you should also keep it professional and courteous, especially when you are expecting help in return. The more people trash talk the less actual good information is going to be collected because all of the actual important data is buried in 12 pages of useless threats and insults.

Do yourself a favor and when you want help, be helpful, nobody calls someone a lazy idiot and actually expects that person to turn around with a smile and say, "sure I'd love to help you man".

I don't really disagree with you but sadly the only way to get the attention of some businesses is to "raise a stink".

How great of you to still not mention or acknowledge this part:

By the way you keep implying that I am not "professional and courteous", yet I see nothing from me that would lead you to reach this conclusion.

Also you seem to be treating GGG helping us is something we should be grateful of... This is literally their job. Their product causes harm to their customers. They don't have to love helping, it is their job to do so.

And finally never in my posts did I call them lazy or idiots. I said their actions were shifty, they were acting suspicious, and they were lacking competence (especially in communication). Please do not claim I insult others.

You know that communication with the community and development/fixes are handled by different people?

This is not a workplace. Its funny that people think we are conspiring. When really we just happen to think the same things. I was shocked when shroud (who didnt even know the forums "existed") almost word for word said most of the points we kept iterating over this week not because someone who had reputation finally agreed with us, but the realization that we're being gaslighted by mega fanboys for thinking this way. He even goes to say that thinking 24H2 is the culprit is BRAINDEAD. it is braindead

Swear couple of dxdiag reports sent to timothy made them write down and hinted that its 24H2? This is them "working on it"? No, a good working engineer would've thought of selection bias immediately

I want my money back. Now.

I'm new to the PoE series and I'm a bit frustrated by this. I decided to drop 30 bucks on a whim to see how this game was and initially my thoughts were positive. I was intrigued by the skill system and I enjoyed the up in difficulty compared to a certain competitor to this game.

Then the hard crashes started happening. The first time I shrugged it off, thinking it was just a one time spoof, but once the 4th or 5th time happened, I decided I need to stop playing for the time being until it's fixed over concern for my system. I am dying to get back in though and am actually put off with how this is being handled.

I haven't logged in for two days because of this and I created this account here primarily to express this. To someone like me, it's as if you released something at a sufficient price point for yourselves and decided to take the weekend off. You haven't even mentioned it... what are you, Blizzard?

I understand this is an early access title. Most games that 'release' now days seem to be that way, unfortunately, and all put on the shoulders of the consumer. However, a system hard crash that is not only running rampant in the PC community, but also the PS5 it seems by looking at your other forums, that isn't really acceptable in my opinion. A freeze or a simple crash where you can just close out and reload - sure, I could see how that may happen in early access, but this is an entire system power down, power on issue that is being handled thus far in extremely poor taste.

From looking around at the forums and seeing the community desperately trying to troubleshoot and find ways to play your game shows that they really care about what you've created and not communicating with them is a dishonor to them. They shouldn't be having to updating their bios, uninstalling updates, downloading other programs, just to play a game you've charged a premium for.

After all this, I do hope you guys are able to turn this around because what you have here is actually fun and interesting. But ultimately that's on you to not follow the poor examples made by your competitor.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.

If they haven’t responded in detail by now I doubt they will. They got the money already and have shown that’s all they care about.

A patch will likely be deployed early next year and one of its notes will state:

“Fixed an issue where the game crashes during loading screens and requires a full PC restart”

The issue will likely still persist for some users and there will be continued radio silence.

This is the last week before game studios go on Christmas vacation so I’d expect this to linger into 2025.

Honestly the last crash I experienced I thought it fully bricked my pc. Upon rebooting I had no video out put and needed a few resets to let it come back. My pc was built 3 weeks ago with a 9800X3D and 4080 super. I have uninstalled and will not be loading this game on my pc until they announce a fix. Until then, I have a laptop and I can afford to buy it on console so I may wind up doing that cause I truly do enjoy this game a lot

i have 34 reset my computer, 6 char lv30 and 1 char lv52....I hope my computer is not broken =.= I Pay 60$ for a game to destroy a computer 1500$ GOOD CHOICE >.<
