Remove the support gem limit

This is coming from a PoE noob, so I may not be informed enough to have an opinion, but here it goes..

If there was total freedom everyone would probably just use the 100% crit damage increase gem in all skills, and so on... So with the current set of gems total freedom probably isn't viable. But, I do agree that some gems shouldn't be capped to one skill, like the "convert #% damage to cold/fire/lightning" type of gems.

Also, while I'm wishing, I wish there were gems that converted all damage of the skill, and maybe even changed the animation to reflect.

Thing is, not having a duplicate support gem limitation would actually allow for builds to have more than 1 "main skill" which is used for damage, now that we can have as many as nine 6-links. It would make builds and combat have more variety.

They increased the amount of possible 6-links to a larger number specifically for this reason they said, but then with this support gem limitation they have forced us to have 1 main skill for damage in each build again and all the other skills are just for utility, because there just aren't enough damage increasing supports to use multiple skills for good damage.

Its odd that GGG did not realize this during testing.

That is exactly what they realized. 9 6-links breaks the game, obviously.

You are a tutorial gamer, you played the campaign once and then quit immediately in white maps. You have zero damn clue what PoE is like, so stop acting like you can tell which game is better.

You don't know anything about me, so stop making judgement from a forum profile. You don't listen to anything and you're right and know better than anybody... You're only arguments are to attack others.

I think lot of people just refuse to adapt to the new gem system. It's more about utility and conditionals. Most what support gems do can be achieved through passive tree, but support gems can work without any investment into passives.

Having multiples 6 links skills is not about dps, but utility. You can build skills that blind, maim with 100% chances. You can transform most skills into pinning/stun/daze etc... You're free to setup your own combos, like a skill that bleed and another that do 50% more dmg on bleeding, or a skill that break armour and another one that consume the debuff etc... same with charges. The system let you freely build any combo/combination as you wish, and it's independent from the passive tree.

If you want something that affect all your skills, invest in the passive tree (or ascendancy) or gear. Skills are useful without any support, because you can build far less +dmg from the support. There is no point having 10 different dps skills, but it's more important to have utility/conditional skills to react to specific situations.

It's what I believe GGG try to achieve with poe2. It's my opinion, I don't have absolute true, and it has nothing to do with my past poe1 experience.
