Peak time Concurrents down by 39k in a single day - GJ GGG

Every single time that I thought I hit a brick wall and couldn't progress, I've stopped, thought about it, and maybe a couple hours later or even the next day or two I have managed to find a solution that worked.

I know you can do it. You just have to be willing to put a little more effort into trying to problem solve.

Adding to the above comment, the passive tree has never been easier.

It's almost impossible to take unoptimal routes if you know what notables you want, the pathing almost does itself for you.


Heck you can even workaround the trigger gems nerf by picking up the meta nodes and a few meta jewels which I found EXTREMELY CHEAP on trade yesterday.
- Passive skill tree is not good/interesting
- support skill gems being locked to 1 and also the support gems are just boring.
- not enough skill gems(will be fixed in the future with added classes)
- skills on wands etc is dumb
- ascendancies need some work
- Dodging as a replacement for having a character that can survive hits is just not an arpg design that feels good.


It feels like they are trying really hard to make you not gain a powerful character and its not fun and feels bad.
Slow campaign is fine on your very first playthrough but if I have to make many characters and go through that im just gonna quit and not play again.

All in all, it doesnt feel interesting to build a character and it feels very much like diablo 4 in the sense that you almost have to use a certain set of skills or you wont do damage.
Games loosing players after initial hype is common and doesn't speak against this game.

It's completely normal for a new game (and even more for an EA) to lose the majority of all the players playing it for the first time.

I do not have a problem with changes or nerfs. Its an EA. What i have problem with is how they dont even try to compensate the players if they destroy their build. Like many others, i was running cast on freeze. Im past the campaign, was doing maps, then they removed 95% of my clear speed. Sure, it was OP, il lbe the first to admit, but they pretty much removed it without any alternative. Now im stuck on 5% of my clearing speed because theres no mana in teh world that can sustain what i have left, and the fact that i cant kill fast means i die left and right.

If anyone is reading this from GGG: A nerf roadmap would be nice so i dont invest another 40 hours in vain when you next time remove another skill. And congratulations for missing lightning arrow and archmage. My archmage friend is 2hitting bosses in T10+ maps. Im sure me clearing white mobs had to go...

People coping in this thread saying it's normal is unbelievable :)))... And when the game ends up a desert like Poe1 after first month of a league, they will probably be sad.

A dude above summed it up pretty well and I can add something more to that.

- Passive skill tree is not good/interesting - Eh...dumbed down version of PoE1. Will be better once more things come up like clusters and more of those things.

- not enough skill gems(will be fixed in the future with added classes) - I haven't found the need to combine skills from other classes...GGG said that there is no restriction to skills, but you are restricted to them meaning you need to spec into that skill, get the correct attributes, have the correct weapon...No restriction to skills but we restrict it to the weapon you have...Great design what can I say.

- skills on wands etc is dumb - Also most of them are useless and take up a skill slot lol.

- ascendancies need some work - Beside the ascendancies needing rework the trials need to be better first. At this point I don't even find the strenght to put myself into 3 rooms of sanctum or 10 of those imbecilic ultimatums for a generic something point.

- Dodging as a replacement for having a character that can survive hits is just not an arpg design that feels good. - From my point of view, not my cup of cake but well it's something new, you either like it or don't.

Also someone said that the campaign is bornig and tedious and will not do it twice. I agree with that, but GGG won't remove it as it is their stigmate. Which is very sad, as the campaign after first playthrough is just boring and turns quickly into a "omg I have to explore this empty 5000x5000 map from corner to corner to find some boss again..."

That is how league based games work..... ALWAYS! Plus POE 1's playerbase is GROWING for more than a decade now. So where is the problem?
