Let me build what I want to build

Even if they open the game up to allow us more gems the stats requirement for high level once are insane, add to that the insane item requirements, you feel extremely attribute starved

" If he want to be that different of Chris PoE game, Jonathan should not call it PoE then. It is called PoE now because of story and skill name. Else it is not. anyway, right now the game is more frustrating than fun. |

I completely agree with OP.
One of POE strengths was that I could choose which skill to use and with which weapon to use it. Now, if I want to build around Sunder, I’m forced to use a mace. Maybe it is the best choice, but why should I be forced? Why can’t I decide which option suits my playstyle best? It’s incomprehensible and light-years away from what POE has always been. I understand that we’re in Early Access, so the options are limited. But when the game is fully released, we’ll just end up with carbon copies of characters one after another. All monks with Falling Thunder will use a quarterstaff, all warriors with Earthshatter will use a mace, and so on. Last edited by Vicas#4629 on Dec 14, 2024, 10:18:11 AM

" and in their other weapon slot? |

Ya its stupid that skills are locked to ONE weapon. In POE1 we could build the same build but had 2-4 weapon choices.
Its really narrow and short sighted of GGG to be a Diablo Clone. |

" Whatever weapon I’m forced to use by the skill I want to play, it doesn’t matter. At the very least, let each skill work with a broader range of weapons, not just that exact one. Last edited by Vicas#4629 on Dec 14, 2024, 10:24:27 AM

" It's just a bit of a confusing take. Do you want to be able to load crossbow bolts into your mace? Do you want to sunder the ground with your wand? |

Here, I solved your problem.

" Agreed. There are so many 'dumbing down' design philosophies in this game which don't make any sense. They're dumbing down the things that aren't difficult to understand and aren't barriers to entry, and in so doing are making them worse. |
