This game is NOT a looter ARPG anymore!!!

I don't understand, I saw plenty of loots, most of the stuff I wear is from monster drops, only a handful of thing I have was made from crafting. It's just RNG in the end and I absolutely don't want the game to rain loot like in PoE1.

Because this game has been in development for nearly a decade now. It was announced in 2019, but likely development started long before that. And this is the product put forth in front of us. A game that takes all the worst qualities of PoE 1, and amplifies them. It's not about growing up or being immature or anything you seem to want to label people with. Yes...it will get better. Yes...it will be changed (drastically). Yes....it is EA. But don't pretend that it is some "brand new" piece of junk they threw together and will now tweak. What we have now in EA is supposed to be incredibly far in the actual development process given the time they have had to work on it, and really should show it. Sadly, it doesn't and it has a lot of players upset. The ruthless crowd love it, but is that all the game should be? Ruthless (PoE1) player numbers is a tiny fraction of the total players of PoE 1, already a somewhat "small" playerbase. Why does it make sense for the new game to be entirely based around THAT small core?

I don't want a PoE 1 clone....but I also don't want a ruthless clone. I want something in between. Slower and more deliberate than PoE 1, but not as soul crushing and monotonous as Ruthless.

1) Leveling doesn't feel good because the tree is generic, neutered, and lacks meaningful moments of build transformations.

2) Drops don't feel good because they are so infrequent that it almost feels like the game is empty. They need to be VERY careful tweaking this. Lootsplosions are absolutely awful

3) Skills feel awful because, for the most part, they tickle the enemies. For the vast majority of the game.

4) Survivability and defenses feel awful because....you literaly can't build defense again. No matter how tanky you are, the one-shots are everywhere. Hello? PoE 1 problems?

I mean....there's not much left after that. Looks cool, movement feels good....but beyond that? They spent no time thinking about the actual GAME of the game. 5+ development years, on top of 12+ PoE 1 development years and THIS is the game we are being presented? That is why people are flipping out.

One example that shows the sheer incompetence: the dodge roll. Something they have literaly been touting every chance they get SINCE 2019. Check the old footage, they focus HEAVILY on it.

What's the first thing that doesn't function correctly or *well in the EA and needs a fix? The freaking dodge roll

Oh, wonderful, I can't wait to play "Exilemart", the vendor minigame, nothing excites me more than browsing tabs at several vendors every fifteen minutes, that sounds amazing.

Really?

+1, They removed meaning full crafting and replaced it with window shopping at NPC's, super innovative and forward thinking! Idk the game design for POE 2 feels like a huge backwards step for the brand/genre.
