This game is NOT a looter ARPG anymore!!!
" I wasn't referring to you, I meant the Git Güd crowd that is all over the forums talking down to all the peons, like myself. I agree that this game is not your typical ARPG, but a hybrid that is lacking cohesive direction of sorts. In other words, POE2 doesn't really know what it wants to be yet, and it's all very confusing. |

For another ultimate irony moment I was watching Ziz on stream for a bit. The only time he showed any excitement was when got some random bis luck yoloing a rare from a blue or white item. Don't even think it was an item for his class. Sad. Game should not be named Path of Exile.

" The hype will be gone very soon... you think streamers will keep playing this every day for 10 years? Nope... they'll be gone after a couple of months and their loyal "git gud" army will go with them and the game will die... The devs are absolute morons... they decided that 98% of their player base (beside the elitists and the Ruthless mode players) are not worth listening to and that they just need to "adapt" and "git gud" By the way the game isn't hard in any way... I'm blasting through it with my lightning ranger build... it's just tedious and BORING because you never ever get any good drops and there's nothing to excite you and keep you playing... I mean yeah, Last Epoch is on the other side, being way too easy but at least there you get big time drops all the time to keep you playing... at least there you can imagine a ton of whacky builds that work decently well and not having to use one of the 2 builds that work for each class in PoE2 The problem is I highly doubt GGG devs will get their heads out of their asses and admit they fucked up... they'll just double down on their "Path of Elden" dream because devs these days are huge ego divas that think the player base concerns are just "whining" and they'll kill the game... |

I'm not convinced PoE2 will necessarily die. I think it's going to get enough attention, $ thrown at it, etc. to be better than the product we see now. I also think that a lot of old D1 & D2 vets [if there are any skillz left in their bones] may jump ship.
If PoE2 continues to get the lion-share of developer attention then PoE1 may be left to eventually wither. Basically I'm not convinced there's enough hype around PoE1 and there's probably only room for one "active" PoE game on the block. Hope to be proven DEAD WRONG and both games flourish but I just don't see the economics of that. |

" The thing is that GGG are a western studio... they're not Japanese or asians in general where their culture is to always give the customer what they want... in the Western culture devs are divas with huge egos that make games just to get the spotlight and show off and flex about how they're better than everyone... GGG devs will double down on their moronic "no loot on the ground Path of Elden Ring" idea and the game will die... this game is obnoxiously tedious... it wastes your time constantly while you're still playing the campaign and the game does everything in it's power to make sure you'll NEVER feel powerful and that the moments of excitement about getting a super good drop will be one every 10-20 hours... Whatever... this game is dead on release... |

" So you start by disrespecting the devs. Great way to get your point across. Then you talk for the entire playerbase? How do you know all of them feel the same as you do? Because maybe a dozen or even a hundred here in the forums might share your viewpoint? If YOU have a problem with the game then give that feedback. But stop dragging the PLAYERBASE into it. Because you dont get to talk for everyone. And the way you talk you might claim to be part of their fanbase. But if that were truly the case you could voice your opinion and lack of satisfaction with the game without resorting to insult the developer. |

" What part of "Early Access" makes you think this is a full release? Quoting Saltychipmunk:
...I look at the new act 5 boss where you have to hide behind the statues to survive the bullet hell and all I can think is... how the fuck are zombies going to survive that? They don't know what hiding is... they don't know what dodging is... they are morons. |

Agree, everything is expensive, resources are very limited to the point of- maybe I should keep this (regal orb) for end game, and save money so I can buy something really good next month, or SAVE for respec skills next year, btw sometimes I feel so lucky and rich opening rare chests and finding 2 coins in there and fighting rare monsters for half an hour and getting two extra coins that will take me far .. from playing this game, that it is!

Everyone is acting like this is the release. I would imagine that loot and other things are going to be tuned and balanced. The EA is a functional test of the game which is not even complete yet, btw. We only have act 1-3 and a few of the classes.
I don't understand why everyone is flipping out. People need to grow up honestly. If the game turns out not to be for you, then play POE1, which is not going anywhere. Some of the ire seems to be that GGG did not meet expections from the player base. They were expecting the SAME experience as POE1 which trivializes the leveling content. That only happened in the last few years. There are certainly things I want to see fixed but I'm not going to start posting insulting stuff on the fourms like this OPs angry rant about (again) early access to a tiny fraction of the game. Its highly likely loot, difficulty, and skills will be brought into alignment prior to the release. For now, take a break OP. |
