This game is NOT a looter ARPG anymore!!!

It's probably a great game in a different genre. Instead, the underlying systems feel like they are pulling in different directions and ends up doing none of them well because of it.

I just don't get how this many people are begging for them to keep Ruthless 2 after so soundly rejecting it.

I don't even get how devs saw the community reaction to Ruthless and double down. Hubris maybe.

Nah, it's not Ruthless 2... it's a top down Elden Ring wannabe and nothing else... and they actively try to make the game longer and more tedious to keep people playing more and more by making them do stupid chores and redo unchallenging and bullshit things every time they make a mistake...

The problem is the PoE player base will NOT stay in this torturing slog-fest for long...

this game is worse than poe 1 in ever way.. it has better graphics and boss fights sure.. but it has worse gem system most skills are terrible or just dont work.. YOU get zero loot even in endgame maps.. you get 2 rares a map with transmutes augs and maybe so other bubblegum currency.. not a single person even had UBER LAB YET so GL casuals theres nothing fun about poe 2

It sounds like the main issue brought up here is the lack of loot. I bet they could increase all drops to normal PoE1 levels in a just day's work. But they don't even have all the basic weapon classes in the game yet. So I'm thinking they're more focused on finishing the core game than balancing the loot tables.

Early access perhaps was a bit too early.

Dune 1 Was an adventure, Dune 2 was the father of all RTS. No a game does not have to be same genre as the predecessor.

I play looter ARPGs for almost 30 years now and can tell you that you're completely wrong with your statement.

Stop flooding the forums with you pointles threads without any constructive feedback....go out and touch some gras pls to come down. ^^

I am a casual player, not by any means the target audiencie of this game and I was enjoying it very much, but it struck me that I was getting most of my good gear from vendors.

I did some crafting and got mediocre results at best, and the rare drops I got were sub par.

No idea if this is whats is intended since POE2 was marketed as a next generation aRPG, maybe drops is not their vision of the game and instead to offer a more consist solution by gold farming and buying gear from vendors.

Which is certainly a revolutionary twist on the genre that usually have been centered around loots and drop.
