Tier rankings are backwards...Why?
Why are the Tier's backwards? Tier 1(T1) is, 2 to 5 Fire damage?
It worked better in PoE1 when T1 was 170-179% Physical damage because you knew T1 was the best, going in reverse, you have no idea how high the tiers go, or what is the best roll until it gets dived into. Please reverse your rankings on Tiers. ![]() Last bumped on Dec 18, 2024, 2:04:17 PM

I agree that it makes it much harder to tell if the roll is BiS or not. Especially considering that there can be a different number of tiers for the same mod on different pieces of gear.
Example: Gloves: 9 tiers of life, so the best is T9 Armor: 13 tiers of life, so the best is T13 If the best mod was T1 on both, it would not be so confusing. If I want to know if an item rolled a BiS mod, I have to go to a third party website to compare the mod tier to what the best one is as opposed to knowing at a glance. |

It's simply useless as it is now, it may as well not show the tier at all as we've got to go look at another website anyway.
I've seen some people suggesting that highlighting it differently if it's the top tear would solve the problem, but this is quite useless too because you'd could miss that you had high rolled the second highest tear and should consider settling. |

Yeah this is just a weird thing, no reason why it shouldn't just be "t1=highest mod" like its always been.

I noticed this right away when I picked up a lvl 3 rare and it was all T1. Doesn't make much sense.

also it's almost impossible to distinguish mods one from another because they are not separated properly.

reversing the tier list has got to be the dumbest decision made xD.

I dont hate the reversed order, and I wonder if its to allow them to add or remove additional tiers more easily. Still it would be nice to be able to tell if an item has the highest tier it can get.

I just think this is a new thing you don't understand properly yet and that's you don't like it. I think in future you'll just inherently know the limits by item and be fine with it.
I know from a programming stand point it's much easier to have defined tiers and then just cap them by item type instead of having a T1 for every item type. Maybe that's why they did it? I'm purely guessing though. Doesn't bother me though tbh. This post was sponsored by me.

" Are you really going to remember how many tiers each item has? Chest piece has a different amount of tiers compared to gloves. |
