Crushing Impacts and Boneshatter

please ggg this is an easy fix, let us boneshatter once per heavy stun.
the skil feels so crunchy good to pull off on packs, its such a let down to go through all the pain of ascending only to find out you bricked yourself.
It's kinda evident that these won't work together.

Although I agree that it would be probably good to let it work. Making a whole skill entirely pointless because you picked up a passive is pretty underwhelming.
You don't take Crushing Impacts to use boneshatter. You use it to drop boneshatter for any other ability that hits. This includes if you happen to pick up spells, a quarterstaff, etc.

Take crushing blows - take quarterstaff - quickly stun things due to crushing blows.

Take wand - do bone spells - build stun - insta heavy stun on crushing blow threshold.

Plus, take a look at the ability behind Crushing Impacts. There's a reason you want to be able to just ignore the threshold and let your ascendancy take care of it; because when it does you can use the heavy stun window to murder things.

If you are taking crushing impacts and now are upset you can't use boneshatter, you are the guy shoving the stick into his bicycle tire and then complaining that the world is not fair.

I mean you could also complain that taking HP nodes in POE1 when you path up to Chaos Inoculation is "making your skill points useless", but that would be stupid right?

Why would someone complain about taking an ability that does exactly what it says it's going to do?

+1 Boneshatter feels awesome to use... sometimes. The idea of using an ability to heavy stun and dealing great burst damage is super satisfying. Yet it feels terrible when ANOTHER ability heavy stuns an enemy and thus you can't use Boneshatter. The gameplay devolves into an awkward case of... not trying to fully stun enemies? What the heck?

Boneshatter mechanics need help.

Yep had to respect this right after I was happy to get this. I wanted to hit bosses harder with my basic attack after using the satisfying Boneshatter.

My suggestion to allow this is either:
- Surpirisng Strenght isn't behind Crushing Impacts
- Surprising Strenght is behind something else like "Enemies are considered primed for heavy stun with -5%/10% heavy stun buildup".

Surprising Strength is the payoff for taking Crushing Impacts. You now stun off any hit, and stuns will then be a window of +40% damage.

Crushing Impacts is a gameplay altering keystone: You now stun off every hit on a primed target, meaning you're no longer tied to having to use Boneshatter, you're no longer tied to using a mace, and you're no longer using up support gems on Boneshatter if you wish to use them elsewhere. In exchange, you aren't getting the spike of damage that Boneshatter is doing. That's the tradeoff; you're choosing a different playstyle than Boneshatter reliance.

Bad analogies are like a kitten with a door.

I'm sure you won't name another passive, ascendancy or not, that takes out the major function of some other other character skill.

I'm not seeing anyone here complaining about the passive. It indeed does exactly what it says it does. No one said otherwise.
I have a solution which involves changing Boneshatter's proc conditions. Check out my thread:
