I'm concerned that if the game becomes too easy, where players can simply copy builds online and breeze through the content, it might diminish the sense of accomplishment and the need for experimentation and strategy.

News Flash: This game is going to be no different than the landscape of PoE 1 for guides. You act like there are no unknowns for PoE 1 when there are infinite builds that haven't been made yet. What PoE 2's difficulty is, in pursuit of what you say you want, is a 40 hours price tag per attempt to come up with a new build instead of a 6-10 hour one which means the throughput is going to be LOWER for everyone trying new builds. People are going to look to build guides even more to not waste their time, which everyone finds valuable.

I would prefer if they just made this current level of difficulty a standalone story game, with no endgame. So we don't have to cater to the "get gud" gamers who forget you'll have to do this at least once every 3 months, if not more, just so they can feel their "accomplishment".
They don't care. GGG is already caving. They won't stop until there is no more surround, no more item scarcity and no more difficulty. I see posts on steam like i should be able to 1shot white mobs. So long next gen arpg, hello poe 1.2. Gonna go finish another crabs treasure and see what the next patch brings. This patch is a disappointing step in the wrong direction. They put the a in arpg and now they wanna back it back to it's jargp
And before anyone asks, no i am not a souls like player. Never played any of the souls games. Literally the only souls like i played, just gonna go chill and listen to the lovely ambient sounds
