Ignore the quest. It doesn't matter. For your third points, you need to get the correct level djinn barya or ultimatum as mentioned. This is NOT a guaranteed drop. It's RNG or you can buy it off people. It's also 1 use, unlike the quest ones.
The area level of the Sekhema waypoint does NOT matter. The part that seems to be confusing tons of people is that you do NOT get to ascend from just beating the Rock Golem boss at the end of the floor. 3 floors means you need to clear 3 floors to ascend. A floor is NOT a room, those are 2 different things.
After you beat the rock golem and get to the room with the ascend statue, that statue will NOT work because that is the end of the FIRST floor. In that room, there is a silver door that will open when you click on it if your djinn barya has more floors. This is how you get to the 2nd floor. You need to continue until you kill the boss of the THIRD floor. The statue after THAT boss will allow you to get your 5th and 6th points.
They really should pin something for this because tons of people seem to not understand how this works and think the game is bugged. There is no fix coming because it works fine. I've personally gotten all 8 ascendancy points.

Thank you. Can confirm this is the key. If you had tried a prior map on normal it should still be sitting in the trial and you pick back up on the second floor. The silver door to floor 3 was all the way down the treasure room by the golden reward chests.

But I tell to myself : "be patient! It was the same behavior with path of exile in the very beginning. It is an early access. Nobody told us that the game was finished and clean"
So I will test all workarounds I could find and wait for a fix.

Yepp, this works - have not noticed there are multiple floors. Though, the quest text is bugged - it should not be there!
