Yahoo is regularly broken into, though by 'broken' the suspision isn't so much that they hack the servers as they are using an exploit to sneak into accounts. If the rumor is true, if you see one of those 'friend's emails' that just goes to a link, then just getting the email is enough to get in. That's only for Yahoo, just to note.

People here keep talking about how good their PoE password is. What needs to be realized is that, chances are, they are either using an old password you used elsewhere or, more probably, they find a way into your email and break in that way. The Email is the weak link to all o fyour other accounts.

And again, if your password has been used elsewhere, that's another weak link, no matter how strong it is, ESPECIALLY if the company 'no longer exists'/

alot of peoples emails are their user name to, which doesnt help people, when im sure hackers like to try out @everyemail.com with your username lol

dont ever have ur username as an email , always use different passwords and email for each game u play

Yes. Whatever else is true, your online email should have the hardest to crack password of all your passwords. I use 14+ character defense grade passwords, with mixed upper-lower, multiple numbers, multiple special characters. Even if you capture an entire password file, you ain't crackin' until the next ice age or quantum computing gets real (choose one). ;-P

Of course if they crack the servers that run the email in the first place... U R d00|\/|3d

If you haven't given your info away, don't have any spyware on your pc, and have a strong password that you haven't used on any other site before then it's practically impossible to get hacked. You had a vulnerability in one of the 3.
