It is fun, just play with friends. They went to great lengths to make sure the game is viable to play with a friend, and in a way unlike POE.
But yea, this isn't really the forum for POE feedback but I hope we get some timeline on 4.0 since we've got... TWO WHOLE EXILECONS without a mention of Path of Exile 4.0 IGN : Reamus

i think this is insanely fun. it reminds me of when poe1 was released, before 10+ years of power creep turned poe into a game i no longer wanted to play now im playing path of exile again and i love it. i really hope if poe2 has leagues, they are ALL voided, in order to avoid the same bloat, convoluted junk and power creep that has plagued poe1 |

But I like the new Poe, and I am not alone also, so let’s say we let them do the game they want ?
I love the new pace, I love having to use my brain with my warrior in hc, I love the fear I have before the bosses because I can’t to, because the mechanics are hard and unforgiving. I don’t want Poe 1, I don’t want to smesh one button while I watch Netflix because it’s mindless , hem sorry, 0 gameplay. I love Poe 2 way above my best expectations, I pay an exile who has to fear , hide sometimes, check how to face situations. Right now for me Poe 2, in early access is the best HnS I have played in my life, and I played almost all of them. You want Poe 1 ? You have it. You can get over the graphics like we did I with d2 for like 20 years. What about those who like poe2 like it like this ? Ilets see ? Two games, same, with graphics differences Or two games one for one button smesh while watching stream And one where you actually have to really play ? You take first I take second. Poe 2 is already a masterpiece, and it will get better, for the first time I feel like an exile surviving, not a retard jumping and exploding the whole map without even looking what’s going on on the screen. |

I do want Path of Exile though. I've got complicated feelings about almost all the resources Path of Exile generated being dumped into Path of Exile 2, and often at the expense of Path of Exile. I had no expectations for Path of Exile 2 that the game director did not set, and yea... basically every statement he made about the game was a bill of goods.
I'm not saying Path of Exile 2 is bad, or that there is any shortage of things to do in the game, or that we're lacking in quality or anything like that, but what I will say is that if you wanted to go through all the promises made about the game from Exilecon 1 forward you would find fertile ground for complaints if you wanted to do that. Like I want to view it as a separate thing, as its own separate game, and let myself grow fond of it but I'm not there yet because I do resent the fact that since about 3.7 or 3.8 there has been this parasitic influence exerted on top of my favorite game which at one point had, if reports are to be believed, as few as eight people working on it. It does not feel great. It does genuinely feel like there was nobody in the room advocating for Path of Exile for the past several years.
