Stop fighting over which of D2 or PoE is better.... lets unite how forces to claim the one and only truth... D3 sucks

p.s.: D2 is a legend, yes POE is not better than it but i see hope that this fact is the main motivation for GGG, to equal or surpass the master

I hope so, d2 was a good game, but not as entertaining compared to PoE.

D2 did for the genre what Super Mario series on nes/snes did for platform games :o.

Diablo has lot of nostalgia on it's back. I'm one that played D2 in my Teenage years throu midleschool and back then game was best of the best. Still remember a morning before final exams, while I was waiting for Uber Diablo to spawn for Anni. I was praying to spawn fast, so I could catch a bus for school.
Or Doing Mef>Pindle>Andi>Countess runs; "just 1 more run, just 2 more runs, ok when I get uniq I'll go to bed" and then when uniq droped, I could not stop cause I was on a roll...

We'r getting older by the day and interest for games and it's value drop. Thats why we don't see this game better as D2 is/was. But we need to understand GGG can't just copy paste that game with makeover, they need to add some of their elements to the game, so it feels fresh. They still have time to get close to D2, but allways D2 will remain the Standrat alfa and omega of aRGP.


Newer genrations don't get whats special about D2, when gaming is so mainstream this days, that most of the times makes me sick. All this commercial crap how games are cool and bla bla, forcing stuff down the throat. And this ppl see D2 as 800x600 Pentium 1 game, and they don't see the gameplay or depth and fun it represents.

We can close this with, POE is the game that came/coming closest to D2, but will never surpas it cause of D2 nostalgia factor.

I'm a D2 "veteran" 99hc (legit no bot) 1.11 patch days, so I belive I know what I'm talking about.


Oh a note to remember: Not even Brothers Schaefer or David Brevik (I don't see his new game as next D2) can come close with their new titles. So, if masterminds behind D2 can't remake what they made 15 years ago, don't presure on GGG, with comments like "failing", they are doing a realy good job.
