I want to love poe2 but ..

After seeing streamers map a bit in poe2 I feel better about the game I understand poe2 is a big hope for ggg in terms of how many new players it can pull in and that's good. How ever I still feel like arpg in general have kind of proven now that they can only be so much different and still be an arpg. I don't feel the arpg community really needs any new arpg if they are always going to be so similar that's just my take. I'm personally considering going back to d2 right now just because it has offline mode and basically has everything any other arpg has at it's core just with worse graphics idr care about graphics that much tbh.
every boss been amazing and i love it people hating on things of the game dont hand hold them for entire playthrough lmao
I had 0 problems with all the bosses except the Count. That one I beat with 3 of my friends on a 1st attempt.
Idk how people are having problems with anything before that boss, and I'm not even that skilled as a player...
Looks like they changed the genre from arpg to souls-like for whatever reasons.

I love PoE and hands down it looks amazing.

The boss fights look AWESOME, but I can't help it, I ended up hating every single one of them.

I'm expecting dodge roll to work better and go further and be as responsive as it was in PoE 1. But it fails me significantly in every tough encounter.

The difficulty scaling, I don't really mind. But it feels very game breaking when you hit a wall multiple times before you hit level 16.

Having to backtrack to other areas to creep XP and gain levels, or to get items you didn't get along the way is not a positive experience. Because you get more progression then drops, it makes it even harder to follow the story because you get futtbucked by random drops not being in your favor and you stay behind on gear.

I love PoE for the option to experiment with builds, but when you hit a wall that early it's hard to experiment with build choices when you've barely unlocked stuff.

15-20 attempts on the Graveyard boss and 15-20 attempts on the Pit wolf is just Horrible. And logging off because you didn't complete something feels flat out not good. In PoE1 that was a choice because you decided to overreach or challenge yourself, but when it's just due to following the story and experiencing the game for the first game, it sucks.

I do not mind this difficulty scaling at the later levels, but not this early.

Hard disagree.

Absolutely love the rolling, issues are skill issues and they add so much to the game. Bosses are brilliant and its clear the zoomer face tank arpg player hates it.

Good!!

As much as i wanted to love the game, i cant. I agree with OP, dificulty is making the game too frustrating.

Can easily say I'll throw money at this game so they don't touch the difficulty.

I'm so tired of everyone wanting games dumbed down.

Diablo 4 had it for years. Even the Elden ring dlc.

It's great now in this game. It requires effort and commitment. It's beautiful

I completely agree. I dislike ruthless, and making the entire game that while removing all movement-related abilities and replacing them with dodge rolling is... boring. I never liked Souls games, preferring ARPGs to them. Now my favorite ARPG is trying to be a souls-like game. It sucks. Souls-like games have less replayability than PoE too, because the design is centered around boss mechanics and dodging over everything else. Hopefully, the devs are open to rebalancing throughout early access. I don't see this game lasting like PoE did.
Absolutely loving the game play atm.

It feels like a mix of Elden ring and ARPG to me which has probably been the most fun I have ever had in this genre.

Discord is lit up with “have you fought XYZ, stream it!” This game is just brimming with content atm. The difficulty, yes, is definitely harder but it’s going to push this game further. I personally have been loving the feel of the dodge. Animation canceling has made melee exceptionally rewarding to play. I was pretty apprehensive over picking titan as my first play through as traditionally that class has been so slow and totem play is just uninspiring. They absolutely nailed the slam based feel. Stun mechanics are great. Animations have great feedback. Slow, hard hitting, but able to animation canceling with dodge just elevates this to a level i would expect from a Valve-Title. Exceptionally fun. Finally a game that cracked the melee issues, without a cyclone variant.

Nearly the end of act 3. Can’t believe they exceeded the hype. Seriously an amazing experience. I don’t think the genre will ever be the same now.
