Absolutely disapointed -- This game is hard, and not in a fun way.
" play minion act 1 and tell me which one DECENT WEAPON you got. |

I still remember playing PoE for the first time in 2012, i also remember playing Diablo 2 online on release and i was magically captured both times. I just blasted through act one. I remember some difficulty in act 2 or 3 and of course with the end bosses but nothing that could not be solved within 3 or 4 deaths.
Now i'm a measly level 12 sorc and i can not even count how many times i have died so far. I guess i am simply too old to see this as some kind of challenge where i just have to try for the 30th time when there is absolutely no reward at the end of it. Drops are bad, the rewards for the quests seem to be nonexisting and once you've succeeded with in one hard spot you already know your char won't have improved in the 10 minutes until you run into the next overpowered boss or area. It should not be like that in act 1. Sorry, but for me that is not good game design. Watching the 4K gameplay videos where they presented the different fighting styles none of the fights took as long and were as frustrating as what i am facing at the start of the game. |

I'm having fun but I think some of the bosses are pretty bullet-sponge for the current environment.
I have a few thoughts on how I can change my build to adapt & overcome in my next play session but, given I'm only early in act 2 and was doing a fairly standard PoE1 go-for-useful-keystones/gems approach, I think 7-10 minute boss fights is a bit questionable. Merc armour break with support grenades build btw, so pretty conventional. Zone combat is great. I suspect boss combat will improve substantially once we have a meta & no one tries to experiment/build-their-own... but I'm not sure that's a good thing. | |
+1
I play poe1 for so long and this is absolutely ridiculous hard and boring to die and die again. The final bosses start always with all the live. No fun No fun No fun So so so disappointed |

I can’t remember a single league in PoE 1 over many, many years where I went to sleep on release day.
In PoE 2, I went to sleep after just 2 hours of gameplay. There are several reasons: - The character doesn’t respond to controls properly and feels like it has a mind of its own. - The game lacks any sense of dynamism; it’s incredibly dull and slow. - Bosses are overly difficult. I don’t want to dodge endlessly; I just want to kill them and move on. - It’s painfully boring to kill mobs when it takes more than one hit. - There’s no loot and no rewards at all. It’s sad to say this, but it’s a failure. |

I absolutely hate this game and am so disappointed. End of act 2 boss is so incredibly unfun and has so much HP, it's a 10-15 minute affair to get to the end and die and repeat over and over. This game deliberately wastes so much of your time, the drops are shit, the gameplay isn't fun its just incredibly draining to be full focus for this long. I genuinely want my money back with how much I hate this game. Sorry GGG, this aint it and you really missed the mark.

" Point 1: Totally fair, this is the biggest thing that needs addressing. Point 2: Okay, that's kinda fair, I can see how it would feel that way until level 20 or 25 depending on your setup, it's probably something that should be addressed, just to make the first 10-12 levels less gruelling when there are fewer options. Point 3: Okay now you've lost me. You want it to be impossible to fail? That's been the biggest problem in gaming for the last nearly a decade. There is a reason why Elden Ring, despite its difficulty, was so well received. Point 4: Once again, this is a D4 brainrot take, not sure what else to call it. Point 5: It's not PoE1 endgame. There are fewer things dropping, and every single one of them is more useful and impactful than the average relative drop in PoE1. This is a major improvement, you don't want to have piles of garbage that needs to be filtered like every other offering in the genre. |

it's POE 2, not Elden Ring
I played Elden Ring 30 min and then deleted I have played POE 1 5000 hours and I'm going just to wait new league. |

" You're right. It's PoE2, not D4 or PoE1. I sincerely hope you continue to enjoy PoE1, I know I will. But I don't want PoE2 to stop doing everything that makes it unique and novel. |

" I agree on point 3. Point 4 is not a brainrot take, it's just over the top. It takes like 7-8 coordinated attacks to kill white mobs. That's too much. They're the reason most bosses are hard, because they just spawn crazy amounts of adds to swarm you, body block you, and stun you while the boss is then free to barrage you with attacks. Roll becomes completely useless here because you can't roll through mobs. Last point; I'm in Act 2, I have dropped ONE rare (which was back at mlvl 11). I'm level 17, but the majority of my gear is under ilvl 10. My wand and shield are ilvl 2 and 4 respectively. The loot drops are almost non-existent, and the few items that do drop end up being 1) flasks (seriously, why do so many flasks drop? this should be the first thing to have been culled when looking at loot tables), 2) not for my build (I see a lot of 2H clubs, bows, xbows, and the like as a spellcaster, still wondering where staves and wands are), or 3) at best, the same as items I'm already running, but usually they're just worse. I'm not expecting juiced endgame loot. But I also didn't expect to run the same crappy gear through the entire first act of the game, especially considering it's not even that good. Loot needs a major adjustment, and it doesn't necessarily need to be more drops, but something has to change, because there's been almost no progression at all, and that makes the game feel terrible. |
