STEAM KEYS > We all paid for them right? Where did they go?

I've also noticed the Redeem button missing for Steam but honestly I'm more worried about getting onto the server to play over the weekend!
What's good is a steam key when you can't login? lmao

This is not that complicated to me.

You bought EA on steam - you get access through steam, no manual key input required

You bought EA supporter pack on website - you can play with your account on any PC platform. the standalone client requires a login with your associated email, steam and epic needs linking your account.
There seems to be a shortage in Steam keys right now, they will get more, just no information on when they will get available


Unfortunate for people like me who always played on steam and don't have access to their email anymore. Some time ago I deleted my old email account but didn't change it on here beforehand... now I can't update my email address without support but they are over-flooded so no answer as for now. And if steam keys are going to be unavailable before launch, I guess we have to deal with the horrendous EPIC launcher.

Let's just hope they get new batches of steam keys soon so we can download it there.

If I've been able to preload the game on steam, does that mean my client is unlocked?
Or should I be able to open the client after preloading if my key had been claimed?

since you have it in your library and you have preloaded it, it means you either bought it on steam in the first place, or bought it on PoE site and used the steam key to add it to steam library and so you started the preload process. Either way, I'd say, YES your client is unlocked and you have access to Early Access and you can play in 6 hours 30 minutes

ps. you can also go to your account settings and check the Early Access permission and also your linked accounts

It’s very simple, if you buy a pack on PoE 2’s steam page, you get it on steam. If you buy it outside of there, you get the standalone. GGG allow you to also get it on steam even when you haven’t directly bought it on steam, but that’s using a limited number of keys. They run out for now, they’ll come back later.

There's so much wrong with this post.

First of all, running out of a digital item is not something anyone should expect. That's like getting the digital soundtrack taken away because "they ran out". This is most likely a licensing issue between these two companies.

Secondly, why would you laugh at someone who saw what they were purchasing, a stand alone early access with included early access to Steam, and then expect to get what they paid for?

where is my steam key?

At least update on us, when we can expect the keys to be available.

I want to play on the Steam Deck, and i probably can't now unless they give us the keys in time.

Some sort of official announcement from support explaining when we can expect to receive steam keys would be helpful.

I bought the game directly from the PoE website to support GGG, but I don't like the fact that I won't receive a steam key before launch.

4 hours to early access, still waiting for steam keys. And no, I'm unable to use the standalone client even though I have downloaded it.

No steam key, nevermind.

1. Tried standalone client, need a email/password.

2. Tried to reset password , didn't get any emails.

3. Tried to set the primary login email address via website, unable to do so because account via website is locked.

4. GGG said account is locked because I synced it with Steam - "The Path of Exile account linked to this email address was locked to move a purchase over to your Steam account. If you want to log in to our website you'll need to use the green "Sign in through STEAM" button on the right hand side of the log in page.

5. So I can't sign in via standalone client.

So I guess I paid US$480 for nothing so far.
