The nerf to frost bomb seems brutal. aoe size, and cooldown.. While the nerf to frostwall I think can be managed, it does directly hit the main use I would be looking for. Freezing. I'll have to see how effective it is as freezing targets. my first thoughts were frostwall+solar orb, and Snap. with potential for CoC fire infused comets. But, if frost wall isn't freezing targets, and I have to use a fire staff for solar orb... ooph. so, orb of storms+wall might be the go to.. I would probably lean into ailments more then infusions. all these new passives, no idea how to make room for any of them. Chrono specific stuff. I mean yeah, with bomb/wall being nerfed. the cd line is looking rough. time snap on convalescence was useful. time snap was also great with unleash... oh man its worse then I realized. I missread the frost bomb notes.
I thought it was getting that 71% CD increase, but was getting a damage increase to compensate "somewhat". no.. its damage has been completely neutered as well. |

" Not just that. It ruins campaign experience, esp in fighting big act bosses (and overall damage potential agains big mobs). Even in 0.2 i had a very smooth sail right after i got it (past lvl 32), and until lvl 82. Paired with CDR shield (Ardura), i had a really good time (Act 3 boss in 1 minute on a league start - https://youtu.be/WGGbaqsLPE8) Frost Wall was a very strong skill with multiple uses. Now, its potential as dps skill is kinda ruined, and we definitely can't abuse it on big bosses. That includes freezing too. However, if we are talking about detonation walls to deal most damage/freezing - this nerf is kinda managable. 0.5 seconds delay isn't much. Ping + Cast speed, and that's it. But yeah, nerf is a nerf, and it will be noticable in terms of freeze build-up. Anyway, if you need more freezing - answer is always the same - scale the damage/crit. And add some freeze build-up. Heh. " Yeah, it's a pure support skill now to apply Exposure and generate Cold Infusion. yeah. I did also initially read it as we were going to be able to cast snap DIRECTLY on icecrystals. so, ping+cast time= 1+2 punch..
but, Im not so sure on that anymore. the video calls out casting on solar orb and orb of storms. not crystals. frost bomb is an orb skill. can we target bomb? icebolt damage nerf too. very worrisome. |

lower attribute reqs might make those xbow/grenade chrono builds more viable.
all the grenade skills have the same 5s cd, with 3 charges like frost wall. |

" Sure do, but at that point you may as well roll a ranger. Evasion/Deflection is just better than pure caster ES. They even get a 500% bonus on their version of "snap" we do not. Frankly, I do not expect sorcs to be very powerful this league, with no revealed overall mana boosting, mitigation, or eldritch will changes. 20% damage taken from mana is nice, but if we only have a 2200 mana pool, that's one hit. If we take Eldritch Will and get 10,000 mana, we lose all the scaling from Energy shield rate and recharge, and the double mana costs are unreasonably harsh. so sad about 0.3 chrono,I made a infinite time freeze build in 0.2 to make sure i was playing chrono XD but it cost so much and 0.3 doesnt really have any buffs on it XD so i may stay in standard to enjoy my toy
the CD things seems uneeded at all I may try to put +cd supports and +1 support on everything to expect that 33% pressing tens of button and time snap to press more just piano all the time |
