Guild tabs not merging to POE2 - Ziz interview with Jonathan
" ^well said and quoted for justice on this 2nd page. ____________________________________________________________ Don't do it this way GGG, You're allowing a lot of damage to be done to perhaps one of the biggest contributing reasons your game is alive to this day. I really hope you figure a solution out GGG to allow everyone to calm down and claim their guilds without fear of them being stolen or these other issues with the tabs. Tabs you can always give us back later but once our guild names and tags are taken that's a lot harder to reverse, Can GGG give some kind of assurance that we can keep or get our guild names back in PoE2 even if someone steals it? +1, eventually/on release is fine.

+1 We have spent points on our guild to be able to collaborate.. especially since the post that guild tabs WOULD carry over.
I understand that this may not be available for early access. but I think if the current situation is upheld with the guilds being separate you need to give a reimbursement code so we can buy the stuff again for the new guild. I have no issues spending money on this game, but this is just misleading. |

i never understood why real money i spent to support ggg can be transferred to the guild leaders account in a game that despises rmt.
monetary support ever should have belonged to the account that supported it. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

i simply do not understand why it has to be so complicated
instead of trying to merge guilds just refund the points on guild purchases to the account that bought guild based stuff guilds will handle the rest on their own and simply re-create the guild with all the stuff they had before. |

Would really like to see points/tabs carry over so we dont have to double spend, especially when up until a couple of days ago everyone was under the assumption all guild stuff would be carrying over.
Please fix. |

for the price of guild MTX, this is legit unacceptable and will make people quit.

Have to say I agree that the easy solve would be to give guild leaders in POE1 the points to spend in POE2. I've spent a majority (at least 1k worth) of my points on my guild that just consist of myself, my spouse and 5-7 close friends, is a shame that none of that value carries over.
PS - add the ability to use items from the guild stash directly plz |

Ah yes, the collective weeping of guild leaders over free access to an entirely new game. Let’s tackle the melodrama step by step, shall we?
"The tabs aren’t transferring over! This is unfair!" Ah, yes, because a revolutionary sequel that’s free for all somehow owes you a 1-to-1 tab migration system. Do people think GGG is sitting there with a giant “Transfer Guild Tabs” button they’re just refusing to press? If migrating tabs between two fundamentally different games were so easy, why don’t you whip up the code and send it over? I’m sure they’d love to see your hotfix for this “simple” issue. "Guild names might be stolen!" Because nothing screams "first-world gaming problem" like the panic of losing your totally original guild name, like “PogChampers” or “Tab Hoarders United.” If someone snatches your guild name, here’s a wild thought: pick another one! Maybe add a “2.0” at the end, since, you know, it’s a new game! "Refund the points!" Refunds? Why, because you spent money supporting a game you’ve been enjoying for years? Is the expectation now that GGG should retroactively reimburse everyone for every penny spent just because things aren’t carrying over? If you bought a steak dinner three years ago, do you storm back into the restaurant demanding a refund because they added new items to the menu? Come on. "It’s misleading to let guild leaders keep the stuff!" And yet, when the guild leader had the wallet open, everyone was perfectly fine with the setup. This sudden outrage feels less about fairness and more like a convenient scapegoat. GGG’s system isn’t flawless, but expecting them to rewrite the entire structure of guild economies to accommodate hypothetical “what ifs” seems... excessive. "Why so complicated? Just let us re-create the guild!" Brilliant idea! Now all GGG needs is to magically synchronize millions of accounts across two vastly different systems, while somehow avoiding dupe exploits, data corruption, and system abuse. I’m sure that’s all a quick weekend project, right? Because if you can’t explain how to make it work without breaking everything, maybe cut GGG some slack for not snapping their fingers and making it happen. "Why don’t we complain about usernames?" No one’s raging about usernames potentially being “stolen” because everyone inherently understands the same thing that applies to guilds: the first person to grab it gets it. It’s a free-for-all, and that’s fine. Somehow, that logic evaporates when it comes to guild names and tabs, because—checks notes—it’s apparently sacred ground. Final Thought: Instead of wailing over tabs and names, how about a bit of gratitude for an entirely free sequel that’s designed to blow the original out of the water? If your biggest problem is reorganizing a guild and its stash in a groundbreaking new game, congratulations, you’ve officially run out of real problems. Let’s focus on enjoying what’s coming instead of nitpicking what’s not. |
