Guild tabs not merging to POE2 - Ziz interview with Jonathan
Jonathan stated that guild stash tabs will not be transferring over to POE2.
Here is it being stated that tabs WILL transfer 11 months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/18qj6cr/comment/kf3ez1d/ This one is unacceptable. We have spent the $ to have roster size 250. We have ALL specialty tabs (currency, maps, div, delirium, etc.) 88 regular tabs 4 Quad tabs If this is something that will happen at a later date, that is perfectly fine. No one is complaining about working on the game, testing the game, etc. first. However, that was not the impression that was given in the interview. If this DOES wind up happening at a later date, all points buying tabs and roster slots etc. in the meantime just become a wasted. Last bumped on Dec 7, 2024, 4:51:34 AM

+1
I care more about my guildmates investments than i do my own stuff, Just not cool. And i read in another thread we have to re-create our guilds too so there's going to be sniping going on and that's no joking matter with some guilds being as much as a decade old it will be hard to lose ones identity. +1, eventually/on release is fine. Otherwise give us points back.

This is a huge headache for anyone who manages a guild. We may potentially spend over $500, only for it to disappear when they actually implement a guild sync feature. Seriously disappointing.

I agree with the OP.
Obviously, making this happen quickly or any time soon shouldn't be a priority, but making it happen in due time...like, around the time of full release...seems like a no-brainer. It's hard to imagine a reason for leaving those who have invested in guild options hanging. At the very least, guild points credit issued to the guild leader, equal to investment and spendable only in PoE 2, would make sense if there is some prohibitive challenge to a straight-up-mirrored guild situation between PoE 1 & PoE 2. If the intention is to leave those who have invested in guilds high & dry in PoE 2, I have to ask: Why? Last edited by MoonPeace#1394 on Dec 2, 2024, 5:40:52 PM

Guilds are more than just in-game mechanics—they represent years of relationships, teamwork, and shared achievements. For many players, their guilds are their digital "homes," and the thought of losing that continuity might alienate long-term supporters. By allowing guilds as well as their associated stash tabs to carry over, GGG would honor the bonds players have built, reinforcing trust and loyalty within its player base.
Moving from Path of Exile 1 to Path of Exile 2 is huge for guilds. Ensuring guilds and stash tabs carry over would create a smoother transition, reducing the risk of losing players who feel their previous investments—both monetary and emotional—were wasted. Player retention is crucial for maintaining a thriving player base and ecosystem. Fully support this idea! |

Honorable Gentlemen and Ladies of Grinding Gear Games,
I rise to you in this most critical moment, not merely as a humble player, but as one who holds the wellbeing of the many in my heart. I beseech you to hear the earnest plea of the populace, who, through great toil and tireless dedication, have long relied upon the storied system of Guild Stash Tabs in Path of Exile, that sacred repository of unity, commerce, and collective purpose. In the dawn of Path of Exile 2, when the stars align and the great gates to this new world open before us, it would be a grievous oversight, nay, an affront to the trust placed in you, to allow the fruits of our labor—these Guild Stash Tabs—to wither and perish in the annals of the past. For in them lie not only the spoils of battle, but the very soul of cooperation, the spirit of brotherhood, and the fortitude of our shared ambition. Consider the ramifications upon the common folk who labor within the guilds—an enterprise not unlike the great colonies in their tireless pursuit of prosperity. Without the ability to carry forth the sacred Guild Stash Tabs into the new era, the wealth, the knowledge, and the tools forged by countless hands would be rendered as naught, scattered like dust upon the wind. What would become of our bonds? How could we, the humble and noble members of these guilds, continue to thrive as a collective force, if we are not permitted to preserve these treasures? Further, I implore you to consider the unyielding sense of continuity this gesture would bestow upon us, the people. As our ancestors did strive and sacrifice to build upon the foundations laid by those who came before, so too do we desire to see our efforts in Path of Exile live on, unbroken by the passage of time. To sever these connections would be to erode the very bedrock upon which the guilds stand. For if we, the people, are denied the carry-over of our Guild Stash Tabs, how shall we continue our campaigns with the same vigor, when each conquest must begin anew from the ashes? Thus, in the name of justice, of unity, and of the unyielding pursuit of excellence, I implore you, the noble architects of Path of Exile 2, to preserve the Guild Stash Tabs in their rightful place. Let us carry them forth into the new world, that we may continue to build, to conquer, and to share in the triumphs of our collective labors. May your decision be as wise as it is just, and may it serve the people of Path of Exile well for generations to come. With deepest respect and unwavering conviction, A humble servant of the Guilds |

I completely agree with your concerns. The conflicting information regarding the transfer of guild stash tabs is frustrating, especially considering the investments made in tabs, roster size, and specialized storage. The initial assurance that tabs would transfer to POE2 set expectations, and it’s understandable that you’d feel upset about this discrepancy. If the transfer does happen at a later date, I also agree that it would be acceptable, but the uncertainty in the meantime certainly makes the recent investments feel less worthwhile. Clarity on this would be appreciated for everyone affected.
