@topic: How fast is your weapon? The most annoying thing about sweep imho is that you are stuck in the animation for so long; especially if there weren't actually any mobs near you because of desync.

Yeah, that is why I had no intention of even using sweep for this long but I haven't really gotten the gear I need for Elemental Cleaving just yet, since it is all self found. RNG has been kicking my ass. Therefore it is still Goefri's Baptism from here on.

I like sweep. I've got it hooked up to faster attacks, multistrike, life gain on hit, and added physical damage. It isn't so great on maps but it is a meat grinder for any lower content.

I sure hope English isn't your first language… pretty embarrassing otherwise.

Sweep is useful, i think, especially it do not need to lock and aim a special target. I always leap into a group of monster and use sweep to eliminate them. But you really need a strong body and emough life leech to keep you stand.

Was going to make the 7 aura LS Duealist. Decided to try out Infernal Blow with Melee Splash.
IB Duealist ever since.

My first character I was building without a guide, and I wanted to make an Iron Reflexes Shadow Archer, based around Lioneye's Glare... Then I found out how expensive it was, so I was using Elemental Equilibrium with Ice/Lightning Arrows and Fire Trap in the mean time.

No one had told me how fucking amazing Fire Trap was.

So I eventually gave up on the IR build. Then the character itself because I wasn't optimized for the way I was playing it by the time I hit mapping level.

i planned on making an incinerate dual totem witch... im still currently a freeze pule witch lol... fucked up part is i picked a ton of fire passives... but freeze pulse is still bangarang

My first OB build is a Shadow that was using bows to level up but I intended him to ultimately become a wander. I chose bows to level up as I felt wanding all the way would be slow & tedious. Well, I got to 82 & guess what...didn't find a single fucking decent ele wand that I could use & my guy never got realise his potential. He has now turned into a mf chara & spends his time firing arrows into Merveil & Hillock. Maybe one day I can find a wand worth using but until then he will remain with bow in hand.

Sweep is only even halfway useable if you have unwavering stance. If you don't, have fucking loads of fun when you inevitably leap into a group thinking you can ghost them, and they stomp a mudhole in you.

Way too goddamn risky imo. Also, it doesn't do enough damage imo considering the best time to use it is when you are surrounded. If you are gonna stand out of a group and use it, why aren't you just running cleave?

"Variety" isn't a valid reason for me. You get cleave in the first available quest in the game and it's still more useful than Sweep simply because, You don't have to be in the middle of a group.

Groundslam is more useful than sweep because it's safer as well.

If you run sweep, you better 1-2 shot EVERYTHING.
