Lost interest in races cuz of Points system

Anyone else feel the same?
I call shenanigan on their excuse that :'' Orb rewards hurts the economy''
what would you do if you were not racing, oh yeah farming

point system is boring and allot of my friend stopped playing too because they liked racing so much that now that its useless, the regular game is cant fill the void
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
point system is great. if currency is all you care about, earn the point reward items and sell them

BOOM PROBLEM SOLVED

The items are pretty crappy if you dont race 24/7.

I'll just say this now. They need to make a few races that the rich folks can't participate in.

Like, what's even the point in racing if Kripp and his team are gonna play?

And it's extremely evident that everyone is starting to just not care about races because what's the point?

Especially those godawful 8 hour party races. Like, no one gives two fucks about those races because there is NO CHANCE of them winning.

So yeah, we need to have normal people race league and leagues where you can participate and lose to Kripp and his team.

This isn't a "get gud kid" post. Races are redundant to me, I speak for the majority whom I know feel this way. When you literally play the game for what, 10 hours a day straight, you'll always be ahead of the curve, and I mean not to shittalk Kripp, because I enjoy his stuff because he's a nice guy. But seriously, it centralizes the top spots pretty much every single time and there are people who like the concept of racing, but don't have time to play 10 hours a day.

Plain and simple.

Point system would be fine if there were seperate leagues the rich people couldn't participate in imo. As of now, it doesn't really matter, you won't win so why bother?
GGG gives me Diablo 2 Teleport? I give them 50 bucks. No questions asked.
I'd rather they adopt the old format and combine it with the seasonal format. Only the most hardcore players will dedicate themselves to the seasonal rewards.. for the rest it's very demotivating.

I'd love to plunge into a race occasionally and get some form of reward... even if it's small since I didn't do good. It would be more motivation for me to keep participating and getting better rewards.

I don't care if they cap the max amount you can get from one season but it's better than the current system that discourages casual racing. Beyond racing a few times for fun it's pointless for any players that can't dedicate huge chunks of time to the many races.

As for the economy... do ladder resets to the hardcore league if that's an issue. That's the only solution. Most players do not care about the economy or trading. It's really annoying to have the incentive of racing based on only that. Rerolling in PoE is much more fun than D2 so I see nothing wrong with ladder resets in HC.

Problem is, the devs can't use the economy excuse to hide behind because they allow multiboxing. Until they prevent multibox, they can't say they care about the economy.

It is quite frustrating knowing 1% of the players collect 99% of the points, but hey I guess its like real life....

Still kinda amazed these guys are so determined to get their 450th demi
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

They enjoy it which is fine. It is the devs' job to make racing more attractive to everyone else. The current format is functional but not encouraging to most people I know.
