blocking rogue exiles from maps

i'm just sick of that guy. hes been at it for weeks. i dont know why he cant just ignore me.

i took the corrupt box node so i dont have to craft each box one by one but even that would be less annoying than dealing with an exile in every box

First of all, a forum is by definition a place for public debate and discussion. If you can't stand for your ideas to be judged and criticized, you should send them to GGG privately.

Second of all, while I don't care about rogue exiles I'd personally like to block tormented spirits from my maps so I get where OP is coming from. There's not really a non arbitrary reason for why some mechanics can be cut and others can't.

i dont mind my ideas being criticized, what i do mind is the same person constantly criticizing almost everything i post. whether its a new thread or a post in someone elses thread. if you dislike everything another person has to say then wouldnt it be better to just ignore that person?

I'd only agree to this provided they also drop more, or meaningful, loot. Buffing them only to have them drop the same worthless garbage is just making the game needlessly more difficult for no reason.

@drama: its the nature of being a regular forum poster...you get some repeat customers that have views that are naturally diametrically opposed to your own.

I post a LOT. I know the forum "personalities" of damn near every person that posts before or after me in EVERY thread. And there are a few that I just NEVER (or 99% of the time more like) agree with, and we get into it. That's life.

In fact, that's what makes these forums great. You'll never grow as a player or forum poster if you aren't challenged. A good, strong challenge can be an incredibly helpful thing for both formulating your own ideas and pointing out things you have no knowledge of.

Some people are more civil than others, some are standoffish right from the beginning. I'm somewhere in the middle....I get heated a few posts in, but I'm generally respectful at first unless the post I'm responding to is already aggressive.

I actually agree with the statement that rogue exiles never really drop anything (exception is one apparently dropping me a divine, yesterday lol). The reason is it's not a mech you want to be meddling with unless you're actively using sextants, that's how I believe people actually make them useful.

I'm actually planning to try them out and see if I've really just been not investing enough b/c I'm going to be investing into strongboxes.

The only things I'd really care about without no option to block out are 1) Ghosts 2) Shrines.

The average rogue exile isn't really that dangerous if it's found on a random map.

i dont think you get it...this guy legit wants to make me feel like sh*t. its not about disagreeing or posting opinions. he just wants to put me down at every chance he gets. remember he even left that snide remark in my headhunter thread?

bullying is not right period. telling the victim to toughen up is not the solution

Someone disagrees with you repeatedly and so you feel targeted & harassed. That's only your personal perception though and I don't think it's worth whining aobut. When you post a lot on a public forum you will run into people who have completely opposed point of views and it is the nature of forums to be challenged on your ideas.

I am not saying that you are guilty of that and of course you feel what you feel, but other people will see things through a different lense.

i talked to him one time and ever since then hes been following me around, but please show me where i initiated conversation with him "multiple times" i try to avoid him because when you dislike someone that is the normal thing to do not constantly quote that person and try and talk to him. i have been ignoring him until now but i had to speak up because his stalkerish behavior is getting out of hand. he even sent me an unwanted private message back in october which i also ignored.

and i didnt name him in that thread but the mod in it contacted me and now i will be sending him screenshots directly of future posts by that guy if he keeps harassing me.
are you going to jump on the bandwagon now and do what he does? its amazing how people here cant just ignore the people they dislike. if you guys are trying to drive me away from the forums it's not going to happen. i am here to stay for as long as my account has the ability to post so learn to ignore me.

You were like so close to understanding how your behaviour in response is seen as harassment not only by Pashid but also by me.
