The light radius mod will be changed to be a lot more useful for low life builds. This will be changed rather soon. It would be awesome to experiment with light radius (and fog of war) mechanics in the longer term.
yea totally awesome - unless i care about life. or resists. or EV. or armor. or strength/dex/int. or attack speed. or life leech. or something else that helps me not die, or kill faster.
but i agree it is awesome that i can see more (and exalt less)

I get that low life builds might benefit, but I think that the 'problem' could have been addressed in a much better way via a unique item.

As it was said in this thread before, this game did not need any of these mods. All it needed was a fix to light radius bug on aura-based low life. And it was accepted and confirmed by GGG staff that it IS A BUG.
That is not a bug. Russell made a post once based on a misunderstanding, which everyone leaps to over the other posts made since then clarifying it. Low life is supposed to reduce light radius. There are other solutions in the works for the quality of life issues related to both permanent low life builds, and CI builds. This mod is one of several tools that will eventually be available to players to counter it.
Both these mods have been requested many times by users over the course of closed and open beta. They clearly appeal to some players. As stated already, the mechanics of the light radius increase are changing soon to make it a much more noticeable bonus for low life builds.

OK, if these mods are here to stay, can we at least have the reduced requirements mod improved to affect attached gems as well. Otherwise, it doesn't make much sense in cases when stat requirements are mostly gem driven, take EA witch for instance.
In face of death, imperfection shall vanish.

You guys will all be eating crow when new zones in the future have low visibility. I'm certain that is why they are implementing this stat. I highly recommend getting a radius set going because when these new zones are implemented the prices for good radius items will be through the roof.
hippster allert! ring the bells!
just like in D3 when everyone started to stack orb pickupradius for pvp. oh wait... noone actually did
Lol u know nothing then... PickUp Radius was one of the main stat along with GF and MF
I was happy of this crappy mechanic when i was running my not-bot-bot
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
