Please do not change existing alternate gems in Standard

This is brake my build, without divergent inspiration i can't use kinetic blast anymore.

Big plus to this.
I love Anomalous Kinetic Bolt. It's my favourite build. I want to stack cast speed to increase my attack speed, it's synergetic and adds a layer to my theorycrafting. It's now gone from the game. The build is trash in comparison, it just removes a very big theorycrafting part of Kinetic Bolt, to make it simple, dumb, boring, and unoriginal. No reason for that to happen. My mind is completely blown about this decision.
It makes me wonder if the change is implemented because of compounding issues with coding in new mechanics, similar to how they explained that coding in new monsters was always a pain with Metamorph. I obviously don't have the knowledge behind the intricacies the devs have to face, but this whole thing seems really...uncalled for? |

" From history of gem changes, including item modifiers like "supported by lvl X momentum" popping on legacy items, they likely cannot have legacy gems due to engine limitations. But still, there is a whole 7 days remaining for them to grow a conscience and convert existing alternate gems to the functionally closest transfigured gem version, if any, keeping corrupted status. If no such version exists from now on, fine, convert to basic version. But wiping gems worth 10-40 div because someone has too lazy ass to define such conversion (writing ID references manually), is very poe and very unethical. Standard players are people too, you know. " That is not true though, because a lot of alternate-quality gem mechanics are being added to normal-quality gem mechanics, and the stuff removed, like Anomalous Kinetic Bolt mentioned above, is not engine-limiting as there are similar effects you can get elsewhere already with the same wording and in the same fashion. There are also legacy gems like Item Quantity Support. I hope they at the very least follow what you are saying with the new transfigured gems. |

lol alt qual gems died so we could have exploding zombies falling from the sky, and DD that doesnt work with desecrate

Pretty rough change. Not cool. I don't invest significant currency in characters for this very reason. Zapped a lot of players on this one.

Maybe allow players a free conversion of their existing alternate gems to one of the new ones?
