Complains about RF, complains about lab, OP gonna just hate the patch, perhaps maybe just wait and see. Unless you play SSF only, you don't need to do lab anymore then you needed to, in fact I'd argue you need to do it less because its way easier to buy a gem then get your perfect helm enchant.

Yeah, any map with doors is terrible retro, not just lab. A year ago I'd have paid for automatic door opening. They've made it automatic for alva runs, but still refuse to make it global.
