dont lock the new gem system behind the lab

I don't mind this transfigured gem being lab thing.
Everyone needs to run labs so there will be some natural transfigurated gem influx into the market. Heist is completely skippable, in fact you need to jump through many hoops to run that unusual gem blueprint and obtain your first alternate quality gem. One of many hundreds possible, the chance of it being yours is extremely small.

I genuinely don't get these complaints.

99% of players just buy their alternate quality gems anyway so that's not gonna be different.

The other one percent enjoy running heist, which is getting rewards significantly buffed to compensate for the loss of alternate quality gems. Those folks are going to be just fine.

Are people complaining just to complain or what?

Isn't better for SSF that they are locked behind Lab instead of being locked behind Heist? Labyrinth is Guarenteed where as Heist you have to pray for RNG to give you an Alternative Gem Heist and then hope the one you want is available.

As a ssf player, that typically is not a fan of lab. I like the changes, the chance of a big power upgrade at the end will make it much more attractive to do more than once. Also about the time you can comfortably farm eternal lab is right about the time you are struggling for bigger upgrades in a build in ssf at least for me.

Current regrading lens have different weights per every gem and quality type, with more powerful versions requiring silly amount of lens to get or runs to drop. Which is exactly why most people buy these gems, and it is not cheap.

If I learned anything slaving under GGG's thumb, I predict the new system will still give you same most common alternate version per gem in 99% cases, and to get the rest you will have to run lab 100 times. Or pay several div per gem (with added again for standard players). Most of my spendings ever were gems, and now they all get deleted and I have to buy it all again. GG GGG.

a lot of the new base qualitx on gems are the alt gems you wanted from heist

i.e. tornado shot + projectile

they havnt posted the new alt qualitys so there could be even better ones out there
overall its still a huge buff in most cases compared to the old boring +20& increased dmg etc

some new alt qualitys might be harder to get than the good alt quality now,but its an easy power upgrade you can make at any time without changing/buying/crafting an often very expensive helmet (double implicit + fracture etc)

you can swap a gem whenever you want/can without having to adjust your current gear

i hope these gems wont be crazy in price because im only running lab once for my points. for specific gems you would probably need to run it 100 times just like how helm enchants used to be

if i understood it correctly and remember it right, t4 Tora rewardes will offer transformed gems

t4 = rank 3 + Catarina

Unlike Heist where buying non-meta alt quality was cheap this seems to go the opposite direction by forcing non-meta builds to run labs. You can't trade for something no one is making.
