The 50% exp penalty is great and should go core!

GGG will never implement anti-logout-macro tech

they keep it DELIBERATELY and it prints money for them. games with 'soft cheating' (logout macro) attract wide demographic, much broader than actually difficult games

so no matter what GGG say, what they will DO is never remove this mechanic. it might be named differently but the core is there to stay, forever. it makes money.

50% or 90% or 20% makes no difference:

- casuals will get blasted no matter what
- cheaters with logout and not feel a thing
- xp-rotas (breaches/5ways) + carry make it all a matter of price

PoE2 already has a anti logout macro solution, and it's just a matter of time till they alpha test or implement it in PoE1 hoho
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

it will disappear/get softer between now and release

nothing is set in stone, POE2 used to be the same as POE, now is separate product. soft-cheats print money as they make game easy while pretending game is still hard. both demographics combined

in POE2 you will be able to cheat death, even if that means restarting some fights from 0. POE used to be advertised as 'hardcore', 'grim' etc and yet GGG decided to keep chicken option in the game on some lame pretence. they wont kill their money printer, no way.

Calling logout makro cheating is the biggest cope I have seen in a good while.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

I'd say it takes a ton of copium to think otherwise. You use an external program that is in no way related to the game or the company making that game to have a massive advantage ingame. If that's not a cheat then i don't know what is.

The usual excuses you are going to use like "it's not perfect you can still die!!!" or "it's not interfering with the game client directly!!!" or "GGG tolerates it!!!" don't change that.

Time to report every single person using Awakened PoE Trade for illegally fetching ingame data to get a market evaluation and instant link to the trade site. /s

That's a completely reasonable and valid comparison /S

The standard you applied was using an unaffiliated 3rd party application to gain a massive ingame advantage. I believe I properly satisfied that standard. You just draw an imaginary line in the sand but argue without adhering to the principle you yourself set.

omg..
the clutch is strong here

this part of the demographic i was talking about. it is quite a big part of the community. GGG will never harm this group so the soft cheats that all know about but company is hush hush about are there to stay, forever
.
