It takes 8 min to get full tournament done on rank 2k without tota build - rank 250? rolfstomp. If you want to be fair, you should include information that you base your opinion on 2 tournaments past 250 if you dont want to inlude 10min, so people would have full picture of your opinion.
Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"

Should go core 100%

I wonder how many of those raging TOTA fans would still be fawning over TOTA if the rewards were dialled down (because if TOTA would go core: they will).
As long as TOTA uses unfinished/buggy AI for warriors and both sides use different stats and also NOT abiding to the same rules I'll celebrate for it NOT going core.
IF GGG took the time to really polish this league mechanic and seriously invest their extremaly precious dev time of their skeleton team to deliver proper TOTA to core... then i'd be interested.
I do hope tattoos would come to core, though.

Tota is by far the most gated for certain type of builds only. If you don't believe, just try to run in there with a minion build... For some extremely bizzare reason it's with pvp scaling, meaning your minions will get annihilated, prepare a coffin for your animate guardian, then prepare a coffin for yourself because you will be spending roughly 50% tota playtime in that coffin.
Extremely enjoyable slams that one-shot you 5 seconds before the attack animation lands. The point of the mechanic is supposed to be strategy, but in most cases only useful entity in your team is you. All other units on your team are wet paper tissue that isn't good even for wiping your rear end. Goliath of the night and speardancer & spearfisher were nerfed, but they still easily one-shot even under 200 ranking.
Rewards aren't worth the pain the mecanic forces you through. I just alt-F4'd from a divine orb reward match because the amount of anger and frustration it pushes me through irl isn't worth the rewards ingame.
Life's too short to tolerate this crap.
Minions are great for Tota, because they body block and distract enemies. The only caveat is non-permament minions.
I noticed interesting similarity - a lot of people that say they didn't like Tota got something fundamentally wrong like you did. Of course misunderstanding the mechanic and trying to break the wall instead of opening door that is right there will lead to frustration.
Goliaths are OP, but Spear Dancers are fine for characters with basic defences at rank 200. 2.5k life, 40% phys to ele shit, 4k armour, some regen. They are not really a threat.
GGG respects our intelligence and the more I read this thread the more I think they overesteamate us. Community as a whole seems to be unwilling to figure out, learn and adapt to a new things. Does GGG need to dumb things down? What do you think?
A question though... Where in my post did I say that I'm losing? Learn some basic reading comprehension while you're at it. I'm not losing matches, I'm just hating my time doing them. If I would rather be slitting my wrist with a spoon than doing Tota, is it a good mechanic?
What I've noticed, the basic argument defending tota goes something like this:
"Nonono, you've MiSuNdErStOoD the mechanic. It's easy, you need some basic character (with very specific gear requirement) that AnY ChArAcTeR can (NOT!) fulfill. Then you only need to hate your life enough to not feel miserable getting one-shotted regardless of defences."
While I CAN do the mechanic, do I HAVE TO ENJOY IT FOR MY OPINION TO COUNT?

To be fair, if you're ragequitting matches that kind of does imply that you're losing. People don't typically get frustrated and bail out of games they're winning.
Especially when it's tota, where most games are won in about three minutes at 2k rating and about one minute below 1k.

TOTA is probably my least favorite league mechanic...actually crucible was a bit worse but these two are my least favorite
both these leagues are good for people who play 24/7 but for casuals they are pretty much useless.
Somehow you managed to get it backwards - Tota actually benefits casuals the most.
Comparing it to Crucible that was all about crafting and had basically no drops (monsters literally didn't dropped anything loot filter would pick up most of the time) to a League all about rewards is...
That's honestly kinda impressive in a way.
how does it benefit casuals the most? you need to be at least 1000 rank to get good loot consistently. how much time does it take to grind to 1000? i stopped at 300 but even that took several hours. casuals dont have the time to grind to 1000. also the mechanic is extremely boring, so someone with limited time would rather do something thats actually fun
No, you don't. Tota gets rewarding pretty much as soon as rare items are removed from the pool and it happens very early like rank 100 or so.
It benefits casausls the most because it's one of the esiest ways to generate currency. It rains Diivne Orbs and other decent drops like Winged Scarabs. And it can offer jackpot item at every turn.

[Removed by Support] good rewards start at around 200-300, as you dont even play it how how could you even know (your challenges say you played 16 games after rank 250 so nothing). How could you calculated that rewards start at 1000? This is not the first time you do this.
It's kind of a running theme among people who dislike Tota and this conversation in general.

why would people be able to get good rewards at low rank when the max is 2000? there would be zero incentive to grind to max rank if ppl could get good rewards at low ranks
GGG would never do this. they want ppl to grind their lives away.
also i said "consistently" i'm sure ppl can get lucky once in a while on low rank and gets something good
But they did and you can get amazing rewards as early as 200. Good rewards are there consistently showing up since 200-300. You would know that if you would play tota - but you didint, so all you have are speculations and suspitions you try to present as facts with next to no experience in the matter.
so what is the incentive to grind above 200-200 rank? no need right?
[Removed by Support]
BTW i stopped playing TOTA because it was unrewarding for me. otherwise i wouldve went above 300. i trust my own experience more than your word
Rewards still get better with higher ank on average. Just not tiers above like you imagine. You simply get more things like Winged Scarabs or Awakened Sextants.

Rank 2000 tournaments take 15-20+ mins on normal build. Most Void Sphere players do them in 12-15 mins. 8 mins is top performance Void Sphere timing. I would like to check out 8 minute normal build rank 2000 tournament though. Feel free.

You said you spend 50% of the time dead. You said you are the only useful entity when most of the job is usually done by units. You get frustrated and annoyed.
What is that other than a struggle.
What you noticed is me correcting people when they are factually wrong and there is a lot of it in this thread.
