People keep saying a death log would be "accurate" if done properly:

what is accurate? the last hit that killed you? The last 10 that combined to kill you? All the ground effects, debuffs, damages, and other things that are affecting you at the time of death?

NONE of that is "accurate".
It wouldnt be hard to give accurate information once such information has been recorded.

How does any of that help you?
Whether this then helps the player or not is up to the player to a large degree.

If its one of the other two situations, then it gives you all the information that....we already have visually!
Please share this visual information that we already have in the form of accurate words with precise numbers. And I meant the RIP clip that was linked in this thread.

Reading a log of 10+ different things that contributed to my death tells me NOTHING about what actually killed me:
Thats a "you" thing. I would appreciate this kind of information.

it just says you got piled on by all sorts of nonsense. That is superfluous and ultimately useless information
Its your right to decide that such information is useless to you. However you are off by deciding whats right or useful for others.

just do TOO MUCH DAMAGE and stack TOO FAST for any player of ANY level to react to.
For most builds "reacting" to damage is not the right way to play - especially in HC. Often a better way to play is to preempt incoming damages. In order to efficiently do that I however need to understand the game properly on a practical and theoretical level. A death/damage log would help a lot with this.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
he started looting and died

everyone missing the point or too obtuse to understand it... Too wrapped up in pretending specific streamers or rip circumstances are important. Basically just as deflecting and cognitively dissonant as GGG.

People regularly quit the game/league because confluence of bullshit RNG game over screens is not good game design. GGG doesn't seem to understand their own design is shooting themselves in the foot. Even though they regularly WITNESS PROOF.

Despite the fact that you can clearly see every league some streamers go from HAVING FUN to Quitting the league within a few frames.

Simple as that, GGG's design shortcomings hurt the game and could be improved. Nothing about nonsensical deaths and endless "we need a death log" threads helps the game thrive, and they are self evident poofs of a design mistake if only GGG would actually understand and acknowledge them so they can learn from them and correct them.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.
