If your biggest issue with this game is other people sporting things they've purchased, I'd consider that pretty amazing. There's bugs, unplayable content at times and here you are complaining about someone wearing wings. Don't play if it murders your immersion? I like seeing what people are wearing, and I like wearing cosmetics. The basic armours are ugly as sin and having the option to look however I want within the basis of what they've created -- is part of what I enjoy about this game.

I'm completely baffled at someone creating an entire topic over mtx ruining their gameplay. If it tanks your PC, turn everything all the way down. If it's still tanking your pc, I think it's time to upgrade from 2007.

Now, nobody wants to take anything away from you, you'll still be able to wear whatever you want and you'll still be able to see all the stupid looking costumes around you. What we want is the option to disable it for our point of view so we don't have to deal with the visual diarrhea.

Of all the problems in the world... *sigh* Cosmetics, man, really? Has it ever occurred to you that you're not even supposed to like everyone's mtx because

1. Not everyone has the same taste
2. People do not buy mtx for your personal enjoyment

I myself do not like some of the skins/effects, so what, who cares. I see other people maybe 5sec every hour at most during a trade. Some of the skins are really cool. So cool in fact that I actually once saw an mtx on someone and liked it so much that I bought it for myself. And that is exactly why you don't have an on/off button. If you knew anything about business and marketing, you'd know that this is one of the easiest and best selling strategies in this type of industry.

Gamer X sees cool skin on gamer Y. Gamer X buys cool skin for themselves - boom, extra revenue JUST from allowing people to show off skins. That's how it works.

Supporter packs and mtx are what pays for the free game that you are playing. And before you go on telling me how you bought a stash tab...yeah, sure, that's money too, but it's nowhere near what the big supporters pay. This is a game that releases new content every 3 months or so, plus pays for the development of a second game. You think the one time purchases like stash tabs are funding0 that? Think again.

The "whale douches", as you so gracefully called them, are the reason games like POE still exist. Be thankful that it's not P2W like other games in its genre and find better things to complain about than ugly mtx.

I'm not complaining that there are cosmetics in the game, i'm complaining that the cosmetics look like garbage out of [Removed by Support] and not the quality standards that this game is supposed to have. Not everything cosmetic is subjective otherwise there wouldn't be whole careers dedicated at studying visual design.

And the idea that any exposure is good exposure is stupid in the first place since seeing how ugly some of the cosmetics are and how disruptive to the game visuals they are, makes me not want to buy any. And i spent quite a lot more on other F2P on skins when they were good. So that's not a good point either, hell seeing how in bad taste they are i don't even want to buy anything else.

If people are interested in the cosmetics, they will leave the option on anyway since it would be on by default.

Some of the cosmetics do look like dumpster fire, but there are also beautiful cosmetics. Some of them are also a lot more ancient than others.

This game is more than a decade old, and so are some of the skins. Naturally they won't be 2023 pretty, but they were nice in 2010 and people bought them cause they liked them. They don't care if you like them or not - in fact, nobody does. [Removed by Support]

Also, a lot of people are wearing free mtx from challenges which are maybe ok looking but not that great (for obvious reasons). Some of them are even ugly, yes. But people might choose to use them anyway - again, without giving a sliver of a shit about whether you like them or not. Fact is, people either earned or bought those skins, so it is their right to wear them.

POE has plenty of new cosmetics that are very nice. I find it very hard to believe that you consider all the mtx in the game "ugly". But like others have said, if you don't like them just don't buy them. If your eyes are too delicate for the "ugly, ugly skins that break immersion" maybe this isn't the game for you. Like I said, nobody else seems bothered by it.

People who regularly buy supporter packs spend far more than 20 people ever will on stash tabs. You don't seem to understand much about businesses, marketing, or the concept of returning customer vs one-time customer, [Removed by Support]

I myself have only bought one supporter pack, as I am quite conservative about spending money on games (this is just a personal trait related to my upbringing, not something I'm advocating for or against). So I'm not even trying to make myself "seem important". But the people buying them regularly - they are for sure very important to the sustenance of the game. I am grateful to those people for partially funding this lovely game.

Which seems to be your actual problem - you have repeatedly stated (voluntarily or not) that you have a problem with people spending money. "Morons" that buy supporter packs and "whale douches". Imagine calling people morons because they support a game they love.

If you feel it breks your immersion you can pay up and host a private league. You can then tell people to not wear cosmetics if they wanna join. Problem solved

I really liked your answer. Never thought of private league but yes, thats perfect. The best solution and not even questionable. Few creativity answers around. Feel like my own is just getting one way ticket out if they don't like it. Thanks for indirectly reminder.

Yeah . Just pay 24$ with no mods for 30 days or 12$ for 10 days.
Not much money but still you pay for QoL (avoid seeing other MTX) that should be in the base game already.
