This game and poe2 will NEVER EVER hit a million players period.

- the game overcomplicated beyond measure, skill tree with hundreds of nodes, numerious remnants of previous leagues in maps and especially crafting, convoluted atlas and so on. Playing Diblo II Resurected for several month I've got enigma, windforce, arachnid mesh, and bunch of powerfull runewords. You play Diablo II and actually find items, not buy them.

-Constant nerfs of everything every several month. I often can't even get to 90+ level before my char got nerfed, and nerfed bad.

When 99% of players jusst copy someone else build, skill tree is not working. Your chances to create decent build yourself is around 0.001%.
The tree is too big, too convoluted, the ingame description of nodes is too poor. When you see "increase melee damage by 8%" you can be absolutely sure, that whatever happens when you take this node, your melee damage won't increase by 8%.
Also during 10 years everything was nerfed many times over, so more or less straightforward builds don't work anymore. I looked at top 10 league starter builds, they are all twisted and convoluted mess. For example the only vailable melee build is Boneshatter, who hurting enemies by hurting himself.

Nonsense? I bought 6 link armor with 700+ ES for 2 exalts, which is 6 times cheaper if I made 6 link myself. And to start with I never found ES armor with ES more than 600 playing well over 1000 hours. Yep, looks like PoE crafting is awesome and very usefull indeed.

I never seen shaper and other stuff because to get to them you MUST to buy maps. At current state you should finish 28x4 lvl 14 maps to get all invitations. Good luck farming over a hundred highest tier maps all by yoursel self found.
Or another example: I liked Delve mines, but when I got to 80 lvl monsters, it took me two weeks to farm sulphite for 1 hour play. Which renders it pretty much useless.

As for junk, I think I played PoE 1500 hours total and found only one really good item (ES shield with ES close to 500). That's it. In Diablo II ressurected in two month I found at least 3 ber runes and bunch of highest tier legendary items, including windforce.
