GGG Just Cannot Win

I don't think GGG is taking any of that seriously, just like we shouldn't be humoring the people that complain about nonsense every update. Sometimes i think that there is a vast difference between the people who play the game and the people who complain about the game.

I mean I have unlimited time to play games, dont have a job or responsibilities. But to those that do their choice is play something or waste time on a forum to complain about stuff for no reason. I mean why arent people playing BG3 at this time instead of complaining about a league they say they wont play? It's absurd.

Cause people are passionate about PoE and they have a reason to be disappointed. 3.22 patch notes are a joke, veteran players want skill balance changes, ar it seems they don't care. You can't have an opinion anymore?
I dare you to make 2 more patches like that and see where PoE will end up.

Seems to me that the answer should be to figure out why the vast majority of the skill gems aren't being used and buff them. Instead of taking the few that work well and nerfing them.

Either your opinion is wrong or you are basing your opinion on a fantasy. As far as skill variety/balance updates go this is one of the biggest ones the game has ever had, there is zero wiggle room to throw a tantrum about skill balance considering the massive shakeup this update is going to cause. Things might land somewhere similar after all the dust settles, but the point of the league is to play around with that big explosion of dust and figure out what new options you like or not. What is it 14 new support gems, can you really grasp how many new build options that is?

That's exactly what they are doing though. They are adding a ton of new support gems designed specifically to work with under-used skills. Is Trauma going to make Heavy Strike meta? Probably not, but people don't want to play Heavy Strike for reasons that aren't going to be fixed by a tuning pass. That said, single target might be strong this league depending on the league mechanic and how totem sniping works.

From the looks of your badges you've been around for a lot longer than me, but I am reasonably sure that GGG has never really mentioned if a league goes core before it even started.

He means the leftover items from the league, not whether or not the league goes core. He’s concerned because sanctified relics did not survive sanctum league even though they are items.

GGG said up front sanctum relics would become unusable though - so since there’s been no word on it, I would assume tattoos can go to standard via migration and hardcore rips (I would expect these to be immediately usable unless it involves an NPC to apply them).

i would add, GGG did mention that they would remove sanc relics early but in a stream. but nowhere did they mention it in an official channel except when bex posted about it late in the league.

as some one who doesnt care to watch streamers and pay attention to social media i really feel GGG let this happen. they have a "Sanctum league live FAQ" but it wwas never posted there. i directly messaged BEX too. no response.

i hate that i have to ask now.

Seriously, the combat in this game horrible. The changes POE2 to hopefully slow it down is a good thing and I hope GGG has learned about power creep and nip it early. Otherwise, in a few years POE2 will be POE2BAD simply because of the one shot screen clears.

For all of its flaws, and there are many, D4 combat is multitudes more engaging than POE combat.


Heres to hoping GGG can tune down the visual aids, slow down the pace of the game, slow down combat, and make combat more engaging with requiring some actual thought behind pressing your buttons.

Not sure why people can constantly gaslight the community with framed conversations they just made up and act offended and scold the community as if they actually happened. But if someone calls it out for what it is and speaks the truth to these false premises that's not ok. The problem we have today is speaking the truth is now offensive and it's a damn shame.

I don't accept your false premise. There are ways to make changes without destroying builds.

GGG can’t win since the sale to 10c. Leagues have been disappointing over the years, constant nerfs and pointless reworks. They are their own worst enemy.
