1. no mention if the tatoos will be going to std or not

From the looks of your badges you've been around for a lot longer than me, but I am reasonably sure that GGG has never really mentioned if a league goes core before it even started.

Isn't that something that tends to be revealed closer to the end of the league, like it happened just recently with Crucible?

He means the leftover items from the league, not whether or not the league goes core. He’s concerned because sanctified relics did not survive sanctum league even though they are items.

GGG said up front sanctum relics would become unusable though - so since there’s been no word on it, I would assume tattoos can go to standard via migration and hardcore rips (I would expect these to be immediately usable unless it involves an NPC to apply them).

Soooo…. People cry when there are few changes to skills/builds other than the a couple broken outliers.

Patches where there are major “balance” changes people cry that the build that they put X currency and time into is destroyed and GGG has no respect for their pixels.

Which is it folks? Leave my build alone or shake it up? You cannot have both.

Tired of the “meta”? Then don’t play the same builds. Play something harder or less common for a change. Try SSF if you need a challenge or if you are SSF try trade for a change. There are so many options to solve the puzzle that is PoE, try them!

Sanctum going core is great, the new auto battler looks interesting, new support gems offer more choices not less, even if they are DOA for replacements in “meta” builds they open up some interesting options for boutique builds. They also can temporarily close gaps in early mid game until you can gear up and cover those gaps.

Honestly, folks need to do a bit of introspection on their own behavior and check their expectations of a title that has provided over a decade of quality entertainment.

The reality is that change is coming. Full stop. It is inevitable. The fact that GGG has used PoE: Legacy to take risks and test mechanics and systems to streamline and perfect the next evolution of the ARPG genre is visionary and I for one have been happy to participate in it. Especially if it will lead to better gaming experience, which from the footage of Exilecon it will.

As a members of this community it’s either time to lead the charge in championing the changes on the horizon, follow along quietly, or just leave.

Funny, poeple cry about people crying about stuff, too. People cant win!
The very few people who just rage scream short hand insults seem to get all the finger pointing while walls of text with constructive feedback are ignored...

GGG can win, last league was ok, sanctum was good if a little wonky, AN-Kalandra got it's beating and well deserved, sentinel was good...

This one is following the bad league trend, from we are making ruthless a side project to, it's our focus, and I am willing to say, it's actually poe 2 beta, but that's just an observation...

For extending the leagues for better development to see the league we all are going to play has a paragraph of changes and ruthless having pages worth is not something most players want to see, I don't have infinite time to play ruthless and feel like I signed up for a second job.

I like all the gems that came out baring some that have utterly no real value, on kill gem I am looking at you... there just is no shift in meta, this is the third league where the top 5 are still the top 5, it feel stale and people are clearly unimpressed with that.

What's worse is the ascendancies, my gods, you cannot kill already underused classes harder if you tried, the are glorified feast of fleshes for the others now, I am dead certain both were made and balanced entirely for ruthless.

And beside all that, you can see the direction the game is going, it's not trying to hide it, it is outright saying, your damage is going to go soon, all our gems will be homogenised into add's an effect not damage.

We care, this game's actually unique in it's style, if it goes the way of ruthless with gold then it's just a skinner box game of diablo, no identity and just a few whales to harpoon until it dies.
It turns out, when you set out to make a true hardcore ARPG, then a couple years later pivot to making a game you can watch while playing TV, you're gonna end up with a split userbase and whatever you do will displease half of them.

They should really fix that exploit, Got to the point they had to make official statements on it but never did outright say cross-league trading isn't allowed just that its (at your own risk)

If Hardcore Trade went to Standard Trade then there'd be no problem.
Innocence forgives you

GGG can win and have done in the past, you can't please everyone no but they have made patches/leagues in the past that were seen as very exciting by most. Saying they cannot win is just giving them a pass to do what they are currently doing.

Yes the ragers/tilters are a problem but they always are in any game or topic. You just ignore them or moderate them.

Also Snorkle crucible was largely bullshit power creep, it was a league filled with things old GGG wouldn't have even released in the first place with an extremely convoluted mirror tier + system for the mega rich to engage with. I'm not denying it was power creep but there was a huge difference between legion's power creep where they added hot new supports and buffed a bunch of shit vs I anoint vengeant cascade and do 10x damage LUL.
well one thing is for certain, they are very flexible in the first few days when the league is out. Historically, the first week they would change the whole league by 30%. It's basically down to how much fun you are having.

Yepp, this.

For example, Delve league was actually made by GGG. Curious, where are those who made it, now? Feels like they were fired or smth.
It just speaks to the average competency of the vocal PoE crowd. The update is adding over a dozen new support gems to build with, a tattoo system with some more huge build diversity implications, while flushing all the powerful crucible builds down the toilet, yet people are asking where the meta shakeup is? For real? Sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh.

I don't think GGG is taking any of that seriously, just like we shouldn't be humoring the people that complain about nonsense every update. People are either trolling, or they are incapable of understanding the patch notes and are just complaining because it doesn't look like the premade build they have been using for the past 5 leagues will be completely invalidated and that upsets them for some reason.
its almost as if the POE community is made up of thousands of different people who all have different opinions on the direction of the game.

mind blowing
