Is d4 really that bad?
After learning some of the creative directions in POE2, I've one thing to say to d4 devs:

D4 is a good game, I like it.

" Blizzard gets hate because they keep promising and advertising stuff without delivering. They're slow and arbitrary at fixing their games and they've essentially given up on quality control and customer support. Example: https://clips.twitch.tv/TubularSassyDotterelDBstyle-fzKPcS50HDHT12Zh And no, I haven't bought the game. I could've gotten it for free and still skipped it. |

" D 4 levels at the pace of a snail. 16-20 hours for leveling 1-50 is very common if your playing solo, and it's a very tedious slog. The fastest way to level is running the same 3 rooms in a Stronghold over and over for hours and hours till you get to level 50. (doing the 1st capstone only requires you to able to complete it so it's possible to do below level 50). Then you grind the same dungeons and helltides (basically just doing a map of scourge) that look nearly the same for the next 20 hours till you hit level 60, and if your build is good enough you can do the level 70 capstone. They expect you to take as long to level from 70-100 as it did from 1-70. But I'm at level 60 with 48 hours in, and I ground the first 18 hours really hard and had a grouped up from 47-58. Solo leveling is DOG SLOW. The truth is once you do the first capstone the game is the same for the rest of the game. A fellow on Reddit did some test by running dungeons and timing them. He found he spent 57% of his time running around in the dungeon doing nothing but running, and 43% of his time fighting monsters. It has the worst Inventory system of any modern ARPG, it literally takes hours of your time to sort and try to figure out where anything is. Amulets, rings, and gems take up just as much space as a 2h weapon, and everything is nearly the same color. There is no search tool. You can easily spend 6 hours trying to sort the damn thing. The combat is really good, but Imagine doing the Mud Flats for 20 hours straight, well actually that Mud Flats is more exciting probably. Last edited by Valkaneer#5171 on Aug 1, 2023, 1:27:38 PM

" And why do you think that is? " If this was sarcasm it would be the best comment about D4 I've seen since the game was announced. Last edited by bauermayers#4660 on Aug 1, 2023, 1:27:46 PM
