Lip Plate in New Trailer

OP, Wraeclast is a fantasy world. Of course the visuals borrow from existing cultures in various ways but in the end, we all should be able to tell the difference between this and actually racist content in a real life context.

Sidenote, since you brought it up:

Unless I missed something, we've yet to see the good side of the Vaal or a single "good" Vaal character (and no, Alva most definitely isn't this char).

Did you even stop to think that PERHAPS someone on the development team has ties to the Mursi tribe and maybe likes the design of the Ogre boss so much that they wanted to include a piece of that culture? No? That thought never crossed your mind? It's likely not the case, but the fact that I am 100% positive you didn't even consider that points to YOUR personal hangups.

If you go in with an agenda, you won't consider any other explanation besides your own.

All of these kinds of complaints are entirely non-sensical, because there are so many things humans learn from each other that almost everything is inspired by something from history. You simply cannot go from no humans to an entire species by not copying each other's behavior. And so you get this almost endless tree of things inspired by something else that you could retrace through the entire history of the human species and you could complain about all of them.

Should I be complaining about racism against British people if an ugly monster says "I'm going to kill you", just because the monster is using the same language the British are using?
I bet that if a monster would have wooden shoes on, no one would be complaining that it is racist to Dutch people. The reason for that is because it isn't racist. Giving a monster tattoos isn't racist. Making it play drums isn't racist. But both of these things are things that one particular group of people started doing while others copied them and they became so integrated in everyone's culture that it's just seen as something universal while it isn't.

If we use this kind of logic to restrict people from using other cultures as inspiration, we would have nothing. We can't have monsters with clothing, because it could be inspired by someone's culture. We would have to study the clothing of every culture that has ever existed, even the ones that have been lost to time, and create something completely new that has never been seen by anybody. And we can't have it be naked, because that could be something integral to a culture we don't know about and can never find evidence for because they were naked. All of these things combined essentially means we have to remove inspiration from the equation completely, otherwise we may risk offending somebody.

If your logic is flawed to begin with, you can find racism in everything.
